The only thing I'm sure now is 3 people who got the OTP request have no problem with offline payment. 1 who never get OTP has problem, which, of course, is my family's. Tested a few places, all failed. Didn't bother wilth Caltex.

Nah I am not expecting them to refund (it'll be good if they did), but I am aiming to use this case as my basis to file a complaint with BNM. The problem is not that it is just 1 sen, it's more of a principle issue. If this is just once off, then it's ok. But their shopeepay system being down too frequently (and yet they're taking their sweeet time), can u imagine how many ppl decided to let go of this 1 sen vouchers yesterday (pretty sure there are some other vouchers expiring yesterday considering the 5/5 sales day), they are going to profit from all this, not forgetting holding people's money during these downtimes.

Consumer mentality has a huge play in all of these, and the reason why malaysia is not strong when it comes to consumer rights. People are just used to inefficient and ineffective system, and wanted to avoid the hassle of taking action against them. No reports, no feedback, no demands - the organisations are going to continously take advantage and has not been improving. When a 1 sen voucher sold to customer, shopee has the responsibility to make sure that the customer has access to the means to utilise the voucher, as simple as that. They should be glad that i am not asking them to compensate for my petrol to travel to different caltex stations and the time wasted on all this.

I might just be a small fry in all of these and i know so many ppl out there are not going to demand for a refund or whatnot bcz it is just 1 sen, but at least i have done my part instead just complaining (which does not help to solve the issue).

If more ppl are demanding for refund, pretty sure they are goin to look at the issue differently. Note: i have had my 1 sen voucher forfeited with no refund demand previously and just let it go. But i am at a point now that this is happening again and it's too much. And no, i dont want to waste my time to go to caltex again and be disappointed should they extend the validity.

Just sharing my thoughts.

Try then let us know ya. I wanna clear my coins as well. Too much coins arghhh have been reducing my purchases in shopee due to their poor CS. Once coins are clearer i will probabbly abandon this apps unless they got a really really good deals

Side note/ if you scan the QR it doesnt seem to have that redeem coins option. Seems like only for those merchants who scan your QR

It doesn't seem that filing complaint to BNM and KPDNHEP has got any big impact against them. They seem to be still so shitty especially their CS. But I malas nak layan at court la. That's a waste of my time.
I am wondering is there any other way to take action against them?

I think it's rather hard to do anything, because they are burning cash to retain existing customers and entice new customers. Even if you viral their shits, others will keep flock in as long as there are benefits.
It all depends how they program their system. Most bans are AI based, and I never expect Asia to thrive in AI.

Is poor customer service a valid problem? I have not filed any complaint to BNM before. But I am planning to, on the basis of the above mentioned and also false advertisement. I will dig all of my previous unresolved issues for the past 12 months bad shoot them sekaligus.

How was ur dealings with BNM? Are they helpful?

My opinion : K.I.S.S and avoid confusing Bank Negara with multiple problems in 1 case. And you have to go through Shoppee Pay's complaint channel before Bank Negara will entertain you. I think their complaint channel is also handled by regular CS, but I might have mixed up with other techs.

With so much hurdles, that's why I'd rather skip the complaints and find other means to recoup my "losses".

Thanks for the heads up. What is their complaint channel? They only have live chat and the normal customer service email address based on what I can see.

What does the error message said other than server error? Do u have the screenshot? Did it ask u to use other payment method - if yes then this could probably be shopee issue.

It was still available even at 9pm? It goes to show that not much people are using Shopeepay perhaps. Too many apps and providers in the market, it is so saturated. Maybe it's time to see who exit the market when cash burns finished.

The paid coins will be refunded partially, based on prorate.

Then the 1300 coins will be earned on partial proated/ratio as well. That was what happened to me last year. But things could have changed or the policy could have change now.

Kena this before, but it was sometime last year. It is not uncommon I must say, in econsave and in Tesco for my two encounters. You can lodge a complaint to them, solution would be either refund the voucher price to you, or credit back the Cashback (very hard to get Cashback but they compensated with 250 coins for me and I agreed to make things easier for them)

The live chat. They will request screenshots of your order ID of the voucher and your payment transaction details. Just tell them the fact and let them do the rest

The 250 coins was a compensation for RM1 Cashback. Bcz they could not give me RM1 into my account that I was entitled, they asked if 250 coins was okay. I guess they needed to go through various approval of they need to get the RM1 into my account back. I initially complained to them just to highlight the encounters and I was frustrated that I bought the vouchers and there is a risk where it might not go through properly when I paid with shopeepay. And then tried my luck to ask for the Cashback and I got more than what I was asking for, good enough for me although it's just coins.

Good that you can utilise the 3000 coins and get full cash back fpr the refunded items.
For the second one you need to tell them that it is not okay and push them for the full coins cashback since you met the criteria. Like believe said, if they did not want to entertain, you can have a case with kpdnhep.
