I was recently quoted (by Honda Authorised Workshop) to change the compressor, belt, gas refill etc at a cost of RM3000++ on my Honda City (2003).  And they also quoted me if dun change compressor, just by changing the magnetic coil and the rest, they cost will be around RM1400++.  Is it worth while to take either of the options above or should I get the recond compressor from your shop?  What would be the total cost if to change the compressor/gas refill/belt/etc at your shop and are there any other options?

bro, i refilled my old perdana with aircond gas today and this is my first gas refill in 5 years since i use the car and i never at all service the a/c at all.
and immediately after the gas refilled the compressor kicked in and blows 'cooool' air,  now my question is from your observation
please tell us how long can a a/c gas last in most cars (assume there is nothing leaking)?  thanks
