Model is too new, no review yet.

OIC, the price is quite ok, RTX2060 for not more than 5/6K.... If performance and cooling good then can consider to buy...

Actually aldy got reviews for Clevo NH5xAC/AD/AF (Notebookcheck, China review websites...). TL;DR: Decent cooling (similar thermals compared to N95xRC/RD), can handle 60-65W CPU and 115W GPU under CPU+GPU stress (GPU no thermal thottling), very loud fans
*
Ah haven't notice got similar reviews... Very loud fans, that means may need to undervolt it?

means either fan control not refined or fans really need to spin hard in order to cool decently

really disappointed with Level51 Forge 15
bought it on 19 Jan before CNY
the default SSD go kaput 2 weeks after mco started in March
need warranty repair after buying in less than 3 months

damn regretting my decision of choosing Level51 laptop  bangwall.gif

my advice to all buyers, be REALLY careful with your choice of laptop, else you will really regret it later  bangwall.gif
*
OMG, sounds like they use cheap brand for the SSD. Are you still stick with the laptop or you had change your laptop?

under warranty, monday jz send in for repair, they will change new SSD for me
but i doubt new SSD will last long  shakehead.gif

jz bought it 3 months ago, no more money to change laptop

Your issue had significantly made me want to remove the Level51's laptop from my bucket list... So they can offer cheaper price for some reason... how much you pay at that time?

There is, but you need to scroll for the >RM5k options.

For that price, you may as well wait for the new Zephyrus G15 with AMD 4000 and 1660Ti. Much better than the outdated Legion 540 IMHO.
*
Ya I just found that the only model that provide 144hz screen in customization are LEGION Y740-15IRHG.

I am still waiting for Lenovo and Acer new laptop. The Asus laptop I remember I had saw review on not so good cooling so I will skip that laptop.

Edit: I saw review from here: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/37011-asus-...rus-g15-review/

Serious question: I see lots of weight placed on thermal (here and also elsewhere) but isn't it just so much cheaper and convenient to buy cooling pad for your laptop? A good one can lower your CPU and GPU temp by between 5-10 degrees.

You can buy a decent coolermaster fan pad with aluminium surface and turbo 1800rpm fan for less than RM150 on Lazada.

For me, isn't value for money and decent display (you can't change or add on display easily - even if you buy second screen its neither simple nor light to carry, plus its expensive!) more important than thermals?
*
The thermal system inside works to remove the heat directly from CPU and GPU as many as possible, the cooler you mentioned should be work as an addition to the thermal system, not as the main. Unless you take out the back cover of your laptop and build your custom cooling system, or the laptop should have the thermal system inside by default.

AMD version with 1660Ti / 2060 will be available July / August

Wow where you have this information? Ask the Lenovo staff?

Anyway means that those who not so urgent need to wait for at least 2 months+ (Lenovo China had also not yet start to sell AMD with 1660ti/2060), quite a long time to wait for....

Quite worth if you ask me, but slightly more expensive than Y540 even with code
Well it is new version, so expected a little bit more expensive. If this code is usable in next month with any debit/credit card, maybe I will buy it. The AMD version with high end graphic card is still long time to wait though... Anyway thanks for your opinion biggrin.gif

LENXCIMB - code is expiring this month?

Don't know, since I got the code from ZM Fong. I said I may buy in next month is just because I need to recalculate my budget only, doesn't mean that the code is expiring...

just got my unit

it appears that the LENXCIMB is the highest discount code they have and its meant for CIMB staffs.

so be smart la when they ask you if you are a staff. smile.gif

also confirmed you can use any card to make the payment.
*
Ah no wonder the code got the "CIMB" keyword.... That puzzled me all the time...

Lenovo will ask you during checkout is it?

Just saw the illeagear live-streaming about latest AMD 4000 series laptop. Seem quite good. You get premium body/build with budget pricing.

Suitable for those who cannot wait for the Lenovo brand.
*
Need to wait for detail review though.... Dunno how is the cooling performance...

Actually there are reviews for both models, however the thermal data isn't reliable due to big variation and missing some info
*
Ya that's why need to wait first... Or perhaps you got a chance to do a review on it? biggrin.gif

After my discovery of some bank offer site, Hong Leong & Standard Chartered also offer similar discount that what LENXCIMB (CIMB of course) offer. Same discount, providing you may(must) need to use respective bank card(Credit or Debit also can) when check out. Here’s the ‘alternative’ code:
Hong Leong Bank: LENXHLB
Details: https://www.hlb.com.my/en/personal-banking/...rds-lenovo.html

Standard Chartered: LENXSCB
Details: https://www.sc.com/my/promotions/the-good-l...eges/#165744-my

*StandChart offer till later date(15 Sept 2020) compared to HLB & CIMB which is (31 July 2020)

#Just in case LENXCIMB from CIMB is no longer ‘limit’ to CIMB staff.
https://deals.cimb.com/my/E-Commerce/Lenovo...3f-0c95e628f3bd

- Discount merchant (apply to all code, so whatever these 3 code offer same amount of discount!!)
25% off on ALL ThinkPad (StandChart have slightly different discount)
20% OFF on ALL Legion laptops & accessories
15% off on IdeaPad
Happy shopping for all Legion seeker!! icon_idea.gif
