Y7000SE is a tad cheaper. Also Y7000SE also has the perks of purchasing Microsoft Office 2019 Student for RM111.

Though, from online pictures, apparently it has a different bottom cover than Y540. Y540 is having many holed and meshed bottom cover, while Y7000SE one looks like the one used in Y530.

keah.kyle, no brainer that it’s gonna be Y7000.

1660TI is >50% faster than 1650. 1650 is fine for a RM3k+ device, but at almost RM5k, minimum it should be is 1660TI.

You also get to enjoy cheap RAM and SSD upgrade when configuring at Lenovo online. Marginal upgrade to RTX2060 is just about RM300 more. Though the performance gain hardly justify the price increase, it’s the cheapest 2060 laptop with intel i7 out there.

Both codes have same discount on Y540 / Y7000 SE

I would say yes, but I prefer a RM200-300 increase

410 (RM391 for Y7000) is before consider 20% discount.

Under 20% discount its RM328 (RM313 for Y7000), consider close enough to your budgeting laugh.gif

LOL, this time round Malaysia’s pricing won, thanks to the 20% price cut by LENXCIMB/DUIT.

Y7000 have good cooling like Y540?
*
They’re the same thing under different cosmetics and packaging.

It gains edges here over Y540 cause Y540’s price gotten marked up by Lenovo to accommodate the sales, while Y7000 didn’t. As a result, Y7000 almost always the better deal than Y540.

So those 3 models good for gaming?

Only find RM1010 for thinkpad 13s give up.
*
Actually they’re quite bad choice for 2019 in gaming sense.

1050TI is sort of irrelevant in gaming laptops for 2019, after the launch of GTX1650.

But again, if it’s for sale under RM3k, it’s still a steal.

O I thought no tool also can use software check it tongue.gif
Do you mean that there might be fps diff if resolution in 1080p but not in 4k?
*
Use software like HWinfo64 to check the exact panel used in your laptop, then google up on the exact panel model and you get the specs for it.

after survey for a while , i am leaning toward buying Legion 5 , i just wonder performance wise, is there a lot of different between NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti?
*
In laymen terms. 60 series is the real midrange GPU.

Practically. It’s up to 70-100% better in terms of performance (kind of expected, the processing units of 2060 almost double that of 1650TI). Additionally, it came with bigger VRAM.

Just a quick question, can't I modify the NVME SSD configurations in Legion 5 to be 128GB and 1TB respectively? When I select 1TB for the first disk drive, the second is automatically fixed at 1TB as well.

Reverse them, 1st drive is 2.5” HDD or M2 SSD.

2nd drive is purely M2 SSD.

P/S: I noticed what you mean. Apparently Lenovo tied it so that the 2nd SSD will follow the 1st SSD in terms of size. Better keep 1st drive as dummy and get your own 3rd party SSD.
