i see, there's no major flaws with the latest m17, only thing to note is the RAM is fully soldered - if RAM faulty, whole mobo needs to be replaced (RAM repair service available from 3rd party shops but I don't recommend that)

yeah me too is suffering with Illeagear horrible keyboard...now using externally connected keyboard as main usage 

If you need the extra performance and VRAM then yes - if it follows previous gen TGP, the 3080 would be 150W variant

Might be a good time to wait. Though, the last time Dell did an AMD+AMD laptop (cpu and gpu), that one was a mess because of the really poor heatsink design by Dell. Otherwise it could have been a good buy because it was cheap and could give 2060 laptops a good run for the money.
If you want the absolute best, I think going with the 3080 Alienware would be a better choice (though I'm not sure why Alienware gimps out on the VRAM limiting it to 8GB, instead of 16GB that other manufacturers give. And the Intel based Alienwares have access to both Thunderbolt 3, and AGA (Alienware Graphics Adapter), so expansion for eGPU is already there.

However, as @ZM Fong correctly pointed it out, Alienware is a luxury item.
