Bro does MSI laptop recommended? Particularly the model below.

MSI THIN GF63 9SC-891 : i5-9300H + GTX 1650 MaxQ + 4GB Ram +256GB SSD + 60hz IPS = RM2999 (Lazada can get as low as RM2899)
MSI THIN GF65 9SD-009 : i5-9300H + GTX 1660ti + 8GB Ram +512GB SSD + 120hz IPS = RM3999

Only downside is low SRGB. But i think most budget laptop does.

The GF65 seem good value with GTX1660ti, while the GF63 is good value for laptop under RM3,000.

What your opinion about this?

i fully understand your point, its jz that the SSD kaput less than 3 months after buying
that's way too unacceptable, even when use cheap stuff, should last more than 3 months right?
*
Its electronic parts bro. Even reputable brand will some faulty sometimes. This kind of things we really cannot predict lor.

I saw the Forge 51 start using Western Digital Black already.

Sorry to hear that bro. Understand the frustration.

Hope the new one can last longer. I really scare the SSD/HDD faulty. Precious data gone like that.

Well Acer Triton 300 retailed just at RM3699 (can get lower in Lazada), come with 144hz, 72%NTSC and 300nits. I wonder if its a good display. Don't have a opportunity to view in real life.

The rest of the spec is i5-9300H, GTX1650, 4GB Ram, 512GB SSD.

Cons: Thermal is not that good.

Hi bro,
For the Legion 5, i do customization as below.
- Change display to 100% sRGB, + RM40
- Upgrade SSD from 128GB to 512GB, + RM220
- Change GTX1650 to GTX1650Ti, + RM280

Total at checkout is RM3481.

Is is recommended to change the GTX1650 to 1650 Ti?

Thanks.

1650Ti not worth it, upgrade RAM to 16GB for dual channel and lower cost (manual upgrade more expensive)

*
Thanks bro. Do you know if the Legion 5 can do 180 degree flip?

My current office Laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad X280. I think i got used to the flexibility of the 180 degree flip. Appreciate if my personal laptop able to do the same.

Thanks.

My friend informed me that Acer just released new Triton 300 configuration with RTX 2060, 6GB. SRP at RM4499. Lazada can get as low at RM4199 from reputable seller as NBP Store.

Wow! Cheapest RTX 2060 laptop so far.

Thanks bro.

The Lenovo 5i spec and pricing just released. Much better than current line up.

I got sku 81Y6005GMJ, with
i5-10300H, 100%sRGB, 16GB Ram, 1TB+256GB storage, 4zone RGB!, RTX2060 at RM4560. Wow!

Before discount, price is RM5699. I use LENXCIMB code.

Is this good buy?

The panel is 144Hz actually (check with psref)

4c8t i5 is a bit bottlenecking nowadays but should be fine in many games due to HT, the 4 zone RGB backlit is ugly IMO lol.
*
Wow! 144hz is added bonus. Actually im fine with 60hz as long it is 100% sRGB.

And the 4 zone RGB also like bonus to me. Kinda digging that syle.

Really worth the wait! Better buy fast before sold out.

Thanks for all the help and input bro.

Bro im wondering. For Lenovo laptop, does the retail unit price will follow exactly like "web price" or will follow after discounted price eg: if one use code such as LENXCIMB?

Eg: Webprice RM5699 / LENXCIMB price RM4559. Retail price will be?

Thanks.

They actually had better deal previously for last gen model.
I got i7, 144hz display, 32GB ram, 1tb ssd + 1tb hdd, rtx 2060 for rm4.4k last year haha. The current lineup is more expensive actually I think because they bundled office now.
*
Wow! I see. I just recently in searching for personal laptop and been comparing the price/spec ratio. Looking which is worth to get.

If not mistaken, previously i saw many Lenovo Legion listed out of stock, price quite good. So that's why this time i hurry purchase. sweat.gif
