Hello there, may I ask where do you get the price of 4999 for helios 300 i5 version?
*
Like I mentioned at the beginning: prices will change over time, there's no way I can update the price everyday. It seems like the cheapest now is RM5051 (brightstar in Lazada)

Infinity X5

Couldn't find this brand anywhere online as it seems to be Australian. But I feel like I'm very sure it's just china oem rebranded. May be worth checking out.

1) Would you recommend the Raven Se to someone like me ?
2) What configuration would be the best for my needs , i5+gtx 1050 or with gtx1650? ( Sorry I'm noob about this )
3)How long does the Raven Se's battery last for light tasks like web browsing ,music ect ?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif
*
1. Yes if you're willing to do manual power limit tuning
2. Of course higher spec is better - try to get 1650 if possible, worth the money
3. I didn't test that but expect 5-6 hrs

1.Display [ I am looking for a high srgb/ adobe rgb panel, both brands have upgrades for the screens]
2.Build quality [Which feels sturdy for the price]
3. Gpu and Cpu performance[ the lenovo comes with i7 eight gen, gtx 1050i, while the raven se is i5 9th gen,gtx1650]
4. battery life
*
Y530 high sRGB models only 81FV00M8MJ and 81LB006LMJ

Build quality both are decent, Raven SE is slightly sturdier

CPU and GPU performance: 8750H>9300H, 1650>1050TI - more powerful CPU or GPU depending on your workload

Battery life: Y530 4-5 hrs, Raven SE 62Wh 5-6 hrs (estimate)

If my use is mostly productivity tasks ,like lecture slides ,YouTube vids ,browse the net . And for gaming just Dota 2 or csgo .And also I would like to edit raw photos and do some video editting .

Would the i5 plus gtx 1650 be okay
Or should I opt for i7 plus gtx 1050

Which is more future proof . My budget is limited so I can either choose better GPU or CPU
*
I'll take i5+1650

Hi guys,

What do you think of below:

Acer Nitro 7 - 2019 model
9th gen i7 / 8GB RAM / HD 256ssd + 1TB
GFX 1660Ti / 15.6in / 144hz
RM 4999

I am considering this beside the new Dell G3 with 1660TI. Price almost same.

Thanks.
*
Nitro line has poor cooling. Same goes to G3

Refer to the list for good options

Dear ZM Fong thanks for your great effort, help me out:-

Raven SE - i7-9750H, gtx 1650 ,16gb dual channel ddr4, (not sure if can ask them for the promo that's just ended for freebies)
glock 5+ - i5-9400, gtx 1660ti, 16gb x 1 ddr4

all other configurations are similiar. Glock 5+ is more expensive by a mere rm154.

I'm asking because i do not have experience for both brands and kindly wish to have your opinion.

Thank you very much in advance.
*
I haven't tested Glock 5+ so I have no idea how's the cooling

Raven SE is decent but if you don't need thin and light, consider other options too

I see a lot of MSI from RM6k and above. other brands cannot lift Thor's hammer?

Asking because I am thinking to buy one in this price range and where I am working at right now don't have a lot of MSI options.
*
MSI new models are overpriced - there are other good options under 6k

Hence my question, why mostly MSI at those price levels?
*
I also dk why tbh. Didn't offer special features also.

Just get other options, they aren't worth the money even though the model itself is good (excluding MSI related QC+QA issues)

Given both specs and very similiar pricing which would you pick?
*
Upgrade RAM and storage by your own - cheaper

Also don't need W10...just buy RM10 key, legit

Isit complicated to diy ram n storage? Or as easy as plug n play? Noob here.

Given both specs quite similar which brand u recommend?
*
RAM is easy but storage a bit complicated since it involves OS install...

I only recommend good models - just pick the one you like

I basically already had in mind what the criteria i want - i5/i7 doesnt matter, at least 256gb SSD, 8gb RAM, got graphic card... if got few models fit, the looks or mechanical keyboard will be the tie breaker

Hello ZM Fong ,

Do you know the sRGB ,Adobe rgb and NTSC coverage for the Lenovo legion y530 (LENOVO LEGION Y530-15ICH 81FV00M8MJ)

Considering this over the raven Se with upgraded screen . However I can't find information about the screens colour accuracy for this model .
Thanks again.
*
high sRGB 144Hz

But why go for older models, can get Y540 also
