I would still prefer a 14" screen though. I might consider the T15 too but no AMD models available.

Thank you for the reply and recommendation. thumbsup.gif

what's the difference between inspiron 3000 and inspiron 5000? Is it still recommended to get inspiron 3000? I'm looking for a slim and light weight laptop. Budget preferably below 3.2k. Outlook of the laptop matters a lot to me. I normally only use the laptop for microsoft teams, microsoft word / excel / powerpoint, google chrome. Play games like overcooked, fall guys occasionally. Thank you! biggrin.gif

Inspiron 3000 is mediocre - build quality, battery etc

5000 series is decent (newer releases, not older ones)

open to other options? how long can wait?

Hi sifu, may I get some recommendation for these criterias:

Budget: ~3k
Weight: How heavy also no problem
Screen Size: 15" but can compromise for smaller if needed
Usage: Will be using almost whole day; pdfs, excel/work files; internet browser; gaming (not AAA games); and maybe opening autocad files (once in a while).
Wait: Notice u ask this a lot, I wanna say I can wait until xmas.

Thank you for replying!! I'm currently using the 5000 series one (i3, 4gb ram, 1TB HHD). It's been 4 years and it's starting to get really laggy plus it gets really hot when I was playing games. Oh, to add on, I don't really save a lot of documents on my laptop, normally just games and softwares like SPSS software (400gb used). What other option will you recommend? I've checked lenovo thinkpad x13, really like how compact and lightweight it is but i personally really do not like the keyboard sweat.gif Will probably only buy end of this year mayb during the year end sale or christmas sale if they have one biggrin.gif If not, can wait until end of January 2021. Once again, thank you!!

I dont mind the weight, and the laptop will be plugged in most of the time so no worries on battery life as well (unless u are referring to battery rosak then I worry XD). If I'm ok with these 2 criteria then gaming would be more bang for buck?
