Asus laptops are so bad and comes with plenty of problems. Alienware are overpriced and not worthy for the value

Not heard much about Level 51 but Illegear is local and very reliable according to their customers. Think the prices are pretty fair as well.

level 51 looks like tech armoury...

hmm they change their brand naming ( eventhough its always from aftershock sg) like 3 times already...

so hmmmm

u need to ask them whats up with that.

illegear yeah sure they are ok but currently seriously big manufactorers are rolling out laptops are damn impressive and affordable as well.

lenovo legion for example

and asus has few things going for them you can get a amd ryzen cpu with nvidia gpu...

msi etc has one major con

NEVER EVER EVER EVER use KILLER LAN or KILLER WIFI cards...
they are farkup if u really want to game.
just a windows update can screw it up.

stick to intel NIC.

alienware.. well i am against them.

Alienware laptops are great and high quality but gotta say that the price they offer could exchange with much higher specs with relatively lower quality.

Lenovo legion is great but the y530 falls below of budget while the y740 is out of budget so yeah
Whats with the disadvantage of msi? The wifi card?
I dislike asus brand laptops as they have the most terrible after sales service and has a reputation of high return rate

killer nic via lan or wifi.. seriously bad stuff.
just do a google.

asus principle use to have an rma center here at imbi. they closed down and afaik currently its a third party company handling for them.

msi is excellent. principle handles it and they have FAE here handling it .. so dont have to wait till it send back to hq taiwan for somebody to test the fault.

illegear rma is excellent as well.

dell is good also.

Within budget that range i suggest you go get either Illegear Raven (4.1k) or Illegear Raven Kabylake (3.9k). They are better performing than what you are looking at on Shopee.

Level 51 and Tech Armory share the same building at different floors, they do communicate but they don't really work together afaik.

Level 51 is an extension of the SG company - Aftershock SG, heavily rely on digital marketing to drive their sales. Both Level 51 & Tech Armory are selling Clevo based laptops, I bought mine from Tech Armory.

Illegear also selling Clevo based laptops but starting from their Onyx / Raven / Laguna, these laptops are from other company than Clevo - heard it was from a China company.

Illegear does have some good deals during their sales so be on the look out, especially the festive days are coming.

revive this old thread, i am looking for budget laptop, with budget <=RM3500, then in instagram, both illegear and level51 advertise in it
so i googled and come to this thread, after a year or so, is level51 laptop reliable? or like most brands, "apa brand also got problem" quality?

but their price is insanely attractive

Both Illegear and Level 51 are okay. They both sell Clevo and Tongfang chassis. About customer service, your mileage may vary. I've been an Illegear customer and i'm overall happy with their treatment over the years.

Disclaimer: I had never used Level51/AftershockPC services.
