30M fiber won't take days to download a game. that kind of horrible speed is streamyx.
I have 100M & it took me around 2 hours to download 100GB for RDR2. so I reckon for 30M, it will probably take half a day to 1 day to download.
and to answer ahbi's question, digital games are cheaper during sales on PSN. right now, there is a game selling on PSN for only RM1.35 and there is no way some game shop will sell you a game at that kind of ridiculous low price.
2 hours only? You’re getting the full speed of your 100M fiber?
Psn digital game sales was only really good after 2016 or so I think. Before that, good sales on AAA titles were quite rare. Not sure if this will be the case for ps5.... but I guess you could play the PS4 versions for cheap there haha.
3. Ray tracing off + 4k/1080p + 60/120 fps For 3rd point, he didn't specifically mention which one got 120fps. I assume it's only available in 1080p mode. Stable or not, that's another question.
Ray tracing seems to be the main features of next gen console gaming, so it make sense to turn it on.
Question is... can the PS5 hit a stable frame rate with Ray tracing on.
What’s more likely is Microsoft using Bethesda and other companies as leverage to get some PS exclusives ported over to Xbox. Eg: FF16 and FF7-2 might just be a timed exclusive or no longer an exclusive to PS.
win win situation? i dont think microsoft is looking for that lol.
Depends on each console sales performance a year later. If PS is slaughtering XBOX in terms of sales globally, Microsoft would be very happy to trade exclusives over. They’ve to be responsible for game sales too and not just pushing their consoles.
If however XBOX is beating PS5 senseless in terms of sales, then likely they’ll want to keep it exclusive.
Xbox series X already have hands on preview to selective youtuber tell all what is great regarding xbox like quick resume, fast loading time, backward compatible with old games and with ps5 no information to share on social media and YT like systems UI, quick resume and fast loading times, and right now with only 45 days to go till lunch, many gamers that its on fence will buy xbox series x, sony need to step up and share more information.
And that’s why I’m jumping ship and waiting for my series x. When those reviewers commented on how quiet it is. So quiet they don’t even know it’s on... I’m completely sold on that.
I’ll revisit the PS5 only after sufficient reviews shows it’s not a loud machine.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think xbox has any hype in Asia, most gamers would still prefer the PlayStation or the switch instead of the xbox. The exclusive games offered by the xbox aren't even that attractive anyway. I would be surprised if the xbox can actually hit its sale targets in asean markets.
This might change for this console generation. Sure, the amount of stock allocated in Japan is way lesser than PS5. But it’s still quickly sold out. At the very least, it hit their sales target during launch.
At the moment(launch), both sides have no exclusive. The only exception is probably demon souls. When they release FF7-2 exclusive for PS5, I’ll get it then.

demon soul and spider miles for me on ps5 but problem is i dont think can get to play this Christmas
Miles isn’t even as long as the original and it’s also released for the PS4... so certainly not a major factor for me. And I don’t like demon soul.
If I get a PS5, it’ll solely be for better performance on existing games. But even that’s not confirmed and we don’t even know how much better it’ll run.
Too many uncertainties = XBOXSX gets a preorder from me instead. I have less than 10 games on Xbox one, but game pass will fix that for me. Only issue is I’ve to start a new game.
In terms of graphical capability, is the ps5 vastly superior to the ps4?
So if let say a game releases for both the ps5 and playable on the ps4, I would assume that the ps5 is akin to an 'ultra high graphics setting' with Ray tracing while the ps4 is more like low to medium setting?
Or is there much more to this?
Supposedly. But I don’t think most benchmark info is known yet.
Can it hit “ultra” performance at a stable frame rate for a prolong period of time ? What’s the resolution / frame rate it can hit? Any upgrades done on past generation of games? Will the console be quiet or will it be louder than the Xbox?
I believe SONY will release a firmware update later on to add external HDD support just like they did with PS4
Problem is moving between an external hdd to internal took an extremely long time on PS4. My download speed was actually faster. And with transferring, you can’t do anything in your PS4. With downloading, you can still play games.
So if moving a 300GB game from external to internal takes longer than a few minutes, might as well just download it if you’ve a fast internet.

ps4 external is can play game from there? or is like just storage, then need transfer to internal to play? because USB is waaaaaay to slow even u use SSD, dont have that bandwidth.
Pretty sure you can’t play any PS5 games from external storage. As many/all ps5 games are designed with the internal SSD in mind. Perhaps you can do so for PS4 games. You won’t enjoy the faster load times though.

thats y lo.. even the guy up there say release firmware to support, but got lanciao use.. xbox series approach is much more intelligent way to expand useable storage for playing.
Btw. I’m referring to external storage via usb 3.2 on the PS5. For the additional nvme slot, it might be possible to play ps5 games in it. But you’ll need very high end and specific ssd to play on. I’m guessing it’ll be more expensive than the XBOXSX expansion.
usb 3.2 (1GB/s or 2GB/s max) also significantly slower compare to the internal storage what. pcie 4.0 also slower lol. so usb wont be a solution, even nvme add on if there is any also they only provide 2 level. enough said, it is not as seamless as how microsoft implement theirs.
Still own a fat and a slim vita. Guess it’s time to retire them or move them out of official firmware. I doubt it’ll even support any sort of remote play from the PS5.
