From what I was told , some of the participating retailers have already started to reserve units for their most prestigious customer only .

While some are " secretly " keeping stocks , probably going to resell them later to an exorbitant pricetag.

There are also a lot of scalpers waiting to make money out of this , infact those will likely be the most of the people rushing to buy the console .
P/S : just contacted by one of the local shop  if I want to reserve one , they can do it now for me but I will have to add RM500 on top of the listed price tag ,  now that's the Malaysian game retailers for you

i suggest go for digital cheaper and ps store always get good offer of games and also u can share account with friend as well.

I was able to pre order before via phone call for the PRO at Sony KLCC. I suggest you do the same. They were able to replenish their stocks quite easily.
