Ok, so ... probably this has been answered dinosaur years ago. But I heard there were new changes in Paypal since last year. I just opened a paypal account and linked it with my bank (RHB bank). It's already been more than 24hrs and the status is still "Checking". I know there's a waiting time. Plus, I want to transfer the cash from my RHB bank to my paypal balance.

On the otherhand, I've linked my debit card as well (RHB bank, same as above savings account). It's not "confirmed yet" and was told to key in the code upon their 2 deposits into my account and whatnot. Now, how long will it take until they send me the said code?

Also:

1) Can I still send payment (Goods and service) overseas to US even if i have $0 paypal balance? If so, can i do so via my debit card which (if they finally send a code) is confirmed? How will the money be transferred?

Havent send yet. Going to send soon. Currently both bank and debit card still in the midst of confirmation. Paypal balance kosong.

Was wondering , if in the event my debit does get approved/confirmed but my paypal balance is $0.00, can i still proceed with transactions ? Planning to send money Goods and Service (since Personal payment is no longer an option in Paypal) to someone overseas for a product.

Not yet , because the amount I'm going to transfer is pretty huge. Don't want to risk it. Should I just try regardless tho? Or wait until they send the credit balance to my oonline statement (RHB DEBIT CARD)

should be instant, where do you see the status checking?
the code should be in the recent transaction info in RHB online, then copy and paste the code in your paypal account

and yes, if paypal $0 balance, it will auto use the money in your linked bank account, so becareful

At the bottom of the "Balance" section where you can see both your linked bank and linked credit/debit card. Upon clicking the linked bank , I see *****(bank acc last digit) and at the status section it states "checking". I thought so as well, I suspected it could be because my name isn't identical (has a capital letter in it but spelled same). I tried changing my name but apparently it'll take a few days for them to approve...Do you think it could be beccause I've set it as "business" paypal instead of personal?

So once my debit card is confirmed (after they send code and stuff, which is a few days apparently) I can transfer cash to the individual (in USD) without using paypal balance? The amount I transferred will then be credited to my linked bank account as per my ddebit card ?

yea sending might not be an issue, but god forbid you receive, also there is a tax imposed on the receiver.

Not too sure , but if I recall back then you can select whether to register as personal or business. I don't think it matters with the current implementation of "No personal payment" in Malaysia. Upon linking my bank account, you can select personal or business , both of which have different names

I'm having the same issue like you. I linked my RHB Bank account to PayPal. Status under checking for 3 days already. Btw, I didn't link my debit card.
