Need new formal wear to look sharp without breaking the bank. Tailor-made is not an option unless it's very affordable.

Looking for suits, shirts, pants and maybe dress shoes as well. Doesn't have to be all at the same place.

What kind of shirts and pants is keeping up nowadays?

What is your budget first? Range? Need to list down how much you're willing to spend for outfit and the shoes.

Full suit you can get ready made from G2000 (RM500+ for pants and jacket) or Uniqlo (RM250 Kando Jacket + RM 130 Kando pants). Both also polyester suit, around the same quality in my opinion. I have a couple of budget friendly dress shoes from Earnest Collective, less than RM 500 for a pair.

Well, there's some options out there.

Shirts - Uniqlo has formal clothes that are comfy and nice - RM129.90.

Suits and pants - Uniqlo, G2000, smart master, Zara, Burton Menswear.

Shoes - Aldo has discount section. sometimes can get below RM200.

Burton Menswear has nice suits and shirts , pants. If you can wait for sales period, can get like 30-40% off. If can wait and do some research, you can get quite a few good items with a RM1K budget. smile.gif

Agreed, Uniqlo's shirts feel really good (although it isn't quite my cut). G2000, imho, is a tad overpriced for the quality they are providing (2 pc navy poly suit for RM800, for real? Not even surgical cuffs?); the only commendable thing is the cuts they provide. Burton Menswear is really good, as well as Topman. I went to Topman a couple days ago, they had a 3 pc grey polyblend suit for ~900 that fits really well (except for the sleeves, they were kinda long, but they can be tailored).

Aside from this, you can try John Master at Parkson's, they have trousers and shirts of excellent quality, which respectively cost around 90 bucks and 140 bucks.

For suits, I can recommend Marq (at Parkson's also) for people on a budget; they have really good British cuts on their poly suits, which cost around 300. I believe they are out of stock now though. Topman and Burton Menswear are from the same company, both sell a variety of substantial-quality suits too, so you can check them out as well.

Just go around any Parkson's lah. They offer multifarious products and often have sales.
