Lazada refund policy is so shit.

I bought an item for under rm10 after coins, store promo and vouchers. Actual value prior to that around rm35.

However, the item I received is not as advertised. The design is completely different. It's not even stated that the design is random etc.

This is a Lazmall seller on top of that.

I sent Lazada all proof, They reject the refund. I called them. They ask to resubmit. Reject again. They claim must return then only get refund. The fuck who got time for that??

I ordered 3 items from Babyshop Malaysia on 10.9.2024 and received them today.

1 x accessory worth RM5
2 x 5-pack baby clothes worth RM60 each

So, a total of 10 clothes.

The items normal price cost around RM125, but I paid RM35 after stacking store promotions, store voucher, Lazada voucher and coins.

To my shock and horror, the parcel feels super small and light. Sensing something amiss, I decide to record a complete video before unwrapping. I took a full 360-degree video showing that the parcel is sealed and there is zero evidence of tempering.

When I opened, I only received the RM5 accessory. However, the printout details shows 3 items and 1.2kg, which is clearly false as I only received one item and it weighs barely 100g.

I contacted Babyshop store via Lazada, provided them with all proof. I got the following replies:

1. We understand how disappointing this must be and regret any frustration this may have caused. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a replacement for the correct item at this time. The only resolution we can offer is to file for a refund request and process a refund.

2. Please file for a refund request for the missing item in your order dear as we do not perform replacement on items.

Babyshop Malaysia is an official LazMall seller. They also have physical outlets in many A-list malls, including Sunway Pyramid and Mid Valley.

What do I do here? I believe there may be some level of hanky panky going on with whoever is running Babyshop Malaysia's Lazada store. I want to receive the order as originally purchased, as the baby clothes are of decent quality, therefore I rather not refund. But the shop is sending me stupid replies and no willing to rectify the issue from their end. At best, it is a genuine error on their part, at worst it is an attempt to defraud customers.

I have purchased hundreds of items online since MCO, this is genuinely the first time I ever got less than what I purchased. Some error in the design, some damaged items, sometimes even send me more than I ordered...but never less.

An update on this matter.

Lazada rejected the refund request.

I had to pull through hoops and call multiple Babyshop outlets. Finally, staff at Sunway Pyramid outlet agreed to forward my complaint to their “marketing person”. Babyshop HQ Malaysia doesn’t have any contact number and they didn’t want to share the number with me either when I called the outlets.

I finally received a call from their marketing person. He says:
1. Lazada had a system inventory issue. My items actually went out of stock but Lazada was not updated.
2. Therefore, they sent me the order with just the accessory without the 10x bodysuits.
3. He didn’t want to take responsibility for the refund reject and ask me to deal with Lazada directly.

WTF is this?!? This is a LazMall seller. I told him, if you don’t have stock call or inform me. Put in a note in the bag. Help me get the refund. Offer me alternative items. Nothing, nada. No remorse. How to deal with this shit?

This is sad and disappointing though. I even called Lazada but the CS was not helpful either.

I have spent RM2k++ in the past couple of years. Never seek a refund before. In fact another order from the same seller had an issue and Lazada rejected the refund then as well.

Unlike Shopee, I have asked refund quite a number of times due to damaged goods, never had an issue there.

Edit: The scary thing is this happen despite me having a recording of unwrapping the parcel! I almost never record, this time I had to as the parcel was just so small and light, something felt wrong even before I opened it.

Does the seller need to approve the refund? From talking with the guy, doesn't seem to be the case as he seemed to indicate it was Lazada CS that rejected the refund.

Guys I lost more than 10,000 coins recently. Anyone face a similar issue?

Oops nvm just checked my account they credited it back. Label as Reimbursement and Expiry bonus. Expires in April 2025.

How to check FUTURE store voucher cap amount?

Previously can go to My Vouchers page and check, but now it doesn't show? Just like 25% off min spend RM68 but no cap amount.

Guys, anyone knows if Lazada tweaked the coins % that can be redeemed? At around noon, I could get 26% or 31% for some items, but now these same items are around 20% discount with coins. Any idea what happened?

Edit: It looks like across the board the coins % discount has dropped by either 5% or 10%.

Anybody have issues using a Lazada voucher code? I got a compensation voucher some time back but can't seem to use it! Tried with multiple products.

I placed an order for an item on 13th Nov. The item had a guaranteed delivery date of 16th Nov, failing which there will be a compensation of RM3 Lazcash. I just received my order, but there is no way to claim the RM3 Lazcash. I am 100% certain the guarantee was there before placing the order.

In the past, I had a late parcel from Lotus's and was able to claim RM3 Lazcash. But I also recall another time recently where no Lazcash was given - I thought maybe I was mistaken at the time. But it has happened again now where I am certain there was a guarantee at the time of placing the order. There is still a 3 day guarantee for a new order placed for the same product.

Is the RM3 Lazcash a hoax? Anyone else experience inconsistency here?

PS: Yes I know not all orders have a "guaranteed" delivery that offers Lazcash compensation in the event of a delay.
