Lazada is quite docile outside of the big dates (Bday, 99, 1111 and 1212).
Last year Lazada saw the gaps left by Shopee as they went very restrictive on FreeShipping vouchers, forcing ShopeePay and elimitating couriers choosing, which caused some exodus of buyerbase from Shopee.
I can feel that Lazada harped on it and become more aggressive than the year before and started pushing for more goodies like LazadaBonus, Daily FreeShipping, random monthly vouchers and those weekly Lazlive. The price attraction had been rightly done, but the buyer services are not quite on Shopee's level yet. And like I mentioned firstly, Lazada is quite dead outside of the big dates, while Shopee consistently pushing for multiple sales every month.
1212 now join the party as last year got vouchers to exchange.
Let's hope the sales will be better by this year.
Shopee announce double date sales and including pay day sales. Something like Lazada follow what that Shopee is doing.
Previously only 3 dates then now 4 dates.
1212 on the year of 2020 was like normal. Not much platform to collect.
