QUOTE(devilaaron @ Aug 7 2019, 06:11 PM) Public price is RM 129, the coverage is super duper rare as this is using different frequency compare with unifi mobile. No point either, the coverage is too limited. The info can refer to the current wireless broadband on unifi website. Now, where do we get our hands on the router? |

QUOTE(renyyz @ Aug 10 2019, 11:14 AM) You mean Unifi AIR? You need to be a Streamyx user for now, public offerings are still unsure? Last I'd heard is that they would prioritize Streamyx users that are eligible first, but Live Chat has told me otherwise, which is sketchy. @RM79 if you're a Streamyx user and within the area of coverage, TM representatives will call you up to offer the plan. @RM129 if you're not a subscriber but within the area of coverage. Plans are tied to a 24 month contract. |

QUOTE(hairulidrus @ Aug 17 2019, 10:16 AM) anyone here using b528? how is it compared to b618? i am thinking of buying b618 but so hard to find and tm point sarawak area dont even offer the package. Don't think so? By far B618 is still far superior. It's literally impossible to get it from TM anymore? Local sets are being snatched up quickly even on both e-commerce sites. Unless you're looking for the 22d variant? |

I do wonder how many B618 users actually bring their units out? Making it like portable mobile Wi-Fi.
Since there are step up USB cables that are able to up the 5V to 12V sold on various platforms. All we need to do is to just plug it into a powerbank with 5V output. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 18 2019, 03:08 PM) I don't bring out unless I go back my hometown during major festivals which has no Internet as nobody lives there most of the time. I will bring back the whole thing and put in luggage bag. Thanks for the wonderful input. Because I do travel a lot around the northern regions where there's no proper fibre infrastructure.I don't think it's convenient to bring everywhere la. If you want a good portable MiFi, can consider Netgear M1. I had that earlier and very good for travelling. This post has been edited by dark_axl21: Aug 18 2019, 06:50 PM |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Aug 20 2019, 06:32 AM) oh ,really ? I didn't know about RM 8 with no speed capped. But what is the upload speed ? There's a speed cap for that 8 ringgit add on but only after 20GB. After that speed is capped. And what is the max for digi perday usage on RM 8 ? sorry , I think I should ask at digi forum but not sure how many pople using RM 8 and tested on this huawei B618 modem aso I asked here. Suitable for testing if you have doubts for your area as suggested by Fruitie. This post has been edited by dark_axl21: Aug 20 2019, 01:08 PM |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Aug 21 2019, 06:38 AM) Download ? or upload or both ? yep test first before buying but non of mobile phone having 4G+ so i can't get a full speed 50mbps. Both upload and download speeds were capped at 0.5 Mbps after 20GBs I think. Even with 4G+, band locked with HManager. But if you're just testing it for coverage and speeds it should be fine. Don't think we can finish that all with just speedtests right? |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Aug 24 2019, 05:44 AM) E-commerce sites still have stock, but ever since TM plugged the "loophole" the prices seems to be higher than before for the 65d variant. Do try your luck if you're interested in getting one and joining the family! haha |

Any guides or tips on what external antennas to get?
Plan to get a top notched one with decent pricing if there's any. Links to products are much appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(hey_there @ Oct 1 2019, 10:56 PM) Hi, sorry for noob question. I just got myself this Huawei B618 recently. I recently moved to a newly completed condo and that time, TM haven't install port for the condo. According to the management office, TM will only start installation after few months. I need the internet service ASAP. So i visited celcom and was introduced to the Home wireless plan. After close to 2 months of using this celcom home wireless service, TM is now available in my condo. You're comparing two different things and two different sources. So my question is, What is the advantage of this Huawei router comparing to Unifi modem? Isn't modem more stable and faster? Why do ppl choose this router over the modem? I did a speed test and it is only 10mbps. Don't you guys think its a bit slow compare to unifi modem? Thanks So how is it the same? |
