Sooooo, is '4 year' a bluff ??
Other than Tyre manufacturers, you are also more knowledgeable than Car manufacturers and SC's on '4 year' bluff ?

let me simply to u on why i change my tires every 4-5 year, same as many members here
1. the rubber harden already
2. can see wrinkle and crack on the tyres
3. it's producing loud rough noise when driving high speed...noticeable when driving low end car with no soundproof
4. the tires are the only thing that separate u with the road
5. other than caring for my safety, i need to care for the safety of other drivers on the road as well
6. i do not want my car's tyre to explode when driving fast on the road, causing the car to lose control and hit the car beside me causing the death of that driver while i'm still alive
i cannot live with that guilt because i'm ignorant and cheapskate

Don't worry so much about shelf life.

If stored properly (keyword being PROPERLY, not exposed to directly sunlight or excessive moisture), tires can still be installed after 6 years of storage + another 4 years of usage.

It's the exposure to the elements when driving that degrades the tires faster, that's why people recommend replacing tire after using for 4-5 years usage. But the storage life is much longer.

but i've decide to change the other one to dunlop SP sport J5 as well
i don't want the extra effort to return the tyre and change to hankook(my other tyre) at another shop...the hassle shakehead.gif
although the other tyre is less than 1 years old
