You are absolute right, you can express your opinion and you can say that is not even remotely more powerful than 360. you are entitled to your own opinion.

As you want a discussion about the lack of power for the PS3, I gave my take on it in my previous post.

And at the same time I'm entitled to my own opinion....of which I said that your conclusion which is based solely on the currently released games are very much a premature conclusion.

And for a person to make a premature conclusion, I personally find that man somewhat lacking in term of his computing power.

i said it so many time and i'll will say it for the last time....I am open to any outcome for the console wars...either ps3 or 360 can be more powerful than either of them...but I'm reserving my decision till later time....

I don't want to make an ass of myself by saying "based on games released between nov 06 till Jun 07...360 is more powerful....then a year later..."based on games released between Jul 07 till xx08...PS3 is more powerful...."

If that is waht you want to discuss on then..sorry I won't discuss it as I'm not interested...

To me the underlying issues that merit discussions are:

1. whether the PS3 is really difficult to program for..without comparing to 360 since it uses a CELL which is very much diff compared to conventional processor...or

2. are the two consoles so different that it is not not viable anymore doing a multiplatform game...or

3. are the devs not willing to spend more resources to develop a game for a console that is not selling very well..or

4. whay are sony not doing anything?...or

5. any other issues apart from deciding which is more powerful..or is the PS3 an over hyped console or not because as I said....I can't decide it yet...and my opinion is that those who decide prematurely would be wrong to do so.

On with the other question you had...You can criticize the PS3 all you want...please go ahead but why do you care if I gave a 'fanboyish' response or not? If you think you should be able to criticize freely...than I should also have the luxury to criticize whatever you said without being labeled as fanboys....and to be fair...I could've said you have a thing against SONY after you've been cheated by them into buying a PS3....marah?...don't be...coz you've been making a sweeping stmt about me and most of us here since the beginning...

Fact is...you shouldn't worry about the symptom (perceptions that PS3 sucks)...you should worry about the problem leading to the symptom..

Xbox360
advantage:
1. out in market much much earlier than PS3, now developer should be familiar with this platform and MS do provide good SDK for them to develop game. Easy to port game to PC because of x86 architecture?

2. I'm sure the embedded 10MB RAM + the ATI graphic card unified architecture does make some different. (512MB RAM is accessible by system n graphic)

3. LIVE!!! online gaming...

disadvantage:
1. Seems to have high hardware failure rate. 3ROD! (this factor alone holding me from getting this)
2. No HD-DVD drive? i don't care about it for now. Dunno who will win to HD format yet.

PS3
advantage:
1. Overall their hardware spec is impressive!!

disadvantage:
1. Cell processor, new processor architecture for game developer. Actually, Sony better provide a really good SDK that will enable to tap the Cell power and make it easier for developer to work on.
2. no rumble!! hope they can release it later
3. game library is suck right now...(this is why i didn't get the PS3 yet)
4. 599USD is really a high price a console....drop 100 or 200..you can see the sales will pickup.

unknown:
1. is the Cell suitable for gaming console? consider the learning curve to game developer. How long will they take to tap the full power of CELL?
2. How much difficult or expensive to develop game on this platform?
3. Will they able to replicate the MS LIVE experience with HOME?

both are good...just that both are expensive now...hehe if sell 299USD, Most of us oredi own both of them!!

Whenever I post something about the PS3, I never targeted any individuals but the PS3 itself. But I get negative response from individuals hitting right back at me who obviously "lack in term of his computing power." And btw, I never made any conclusion that PS3 has loss the console wars. All I am saying is that until now XBOX360 has manage to kick PS3 butts. And the assumption many fanboys here made is that wait till you see PS3 futures game. How would anyone of you know that futures PS3 games will be better than the XBOX360's games. Futures PS3 games might be jaw dropping or it might not and so is futures XBox360's games.

The statement "this doesn't look good for the PS3...." is not a wrong statement because things indeed is not going right for the PS3 until now. And my opinion on the PS3 until now is purely base on the facts that is out there right now, and not on any speculations about what will happen in future.

Hahahha...kelakar siut semalam, first time nak on PS3, terus cucuk ke Dell 22" LCD monitor aku pakai HDMI - DVI kabel, gambar tak kuar, panik jap...tu yg call ko. Rupa-rupanya kena cucuk kat TV biasa dulu dan set Display setting pakai HDMI, bangang tul lah PS3 nie tak leh autodetect.

YDL tak leh nak install lagi sbb aku tak de USB keyboard, hari nie kena gi cari....hahahhaha dah ambik MC gak sbb nak gi cabut gigi....

Boleh auto-detect lah..HDMI kena tekan Power button lama sikit.. nanti dia akan auto-detect HDMI connection.
