yea wey, between P30 and Mate 20 Pro. mcm not much diff. Camera wise is very very similar. RM300 cheaper. i think i might consider getting P30 instead of Mate 20 Pro.

Damn. The P30 priced at 2699 is really making me to reconsider getting the Mate 20 pro.

1) identical camera specs between these 2. Which means I’m getting Mate 20 pro’s camera performance for 2699.
2) front cam does not matter for me.
3) IP ratings is just a bonus for me. So P30’s should be sufficient
4) battery slightly smaller size, but with Kirin 980’s 7nm. Battery should still be good for P30
5) 8gb RAM on the P30 while only 6gb RAM on the Mate 20 Pro

Y'day I went to 1U Huawei shop, the staff say can pre order from them too. But the freebies will be diff compared to pre order on their website.

Not sure bout this, if preorder at shop, need to check with them. Coz payment method is decided by the shop already, not related to Huawei directly.

Finally took the plunge. Was deciding between OnePlus 6T, Mate 20 Pro and P30.

Bought from 1u road show. Free gifts are Body Scale, Bluetooth Speaker and Wireless charging case. The wireless charging case have to wait. Will sell off the Body Scale and Bluetooth Speaker. Previously already got a Bose Bluetooth speaker as a gift too. Lol.

Still using the transparent case. Just updated emui and move my sim over. Now installing my apps.

Need to shop for more durable case. Hopefully already got spigen case for P30. 😬

I want something like this. Transparent case but it's not soft tpu one. Kinda like hard case.

Damn. This powerbank on qc 3.0 and able to quick charge my old Moto G5 Plus. Meaning that QC 3.0 is the same as Moto's Turbo charge.



But when I tried it on P30. It only shows charging. On the Huawei stock charger, it's showing super charge. Looks like Huawei's super charge might be QC 4.0?

Damn, but I wanna try to plug in to a QC 4.0 powerbank first and see if the super charge word appear. If really cannot then maybe no choice, buy the Huawei super charge powerbank.

ah thanks guys! I'll just leave it there then. Spend whole night to set up the homescreen, install my go-to apps, and tweak all the settings to my liking. Today test battery life and hunt for casing.

I did use MIUI before. Seems like EMUI is not as heavy as MIUI.

for screen protector, currently still using the one out of the box. Thinking to get a tempered glass, but afraid it might affect the fingerprint sensor. But at least got a screen protector now la, slowly hunt for a good tempered glass.

for P30 yes, it comes with a preinstalled screen protector. Got include a transparent tpu case as well in the box.

Coz i dont have a wireless charger. And also need to wait 2 weeks for it.

Does the battery or Emui take time to optimize? I unplugged at 7.00am. currently drop til 49%.

My usage is like
45 min of gaming on PESCC.
20 min of Spotify via Bluetooth car kit
Took some photos.
30 min of Hotspot tethering
location off all the time.
on wifi from 7am til 9am.

coz I always have web whatsapp running on my laptop. So i keep getting this icon on my phone. Not sure if that will contribute to more battery usage or not. hmm.



Mind to share ur set up tips? Like disable auto brightness, set to 25%, hide notifications for certain apps etc?

Just bought the Huawei 10kmah super charge power bank at RM199. A lot of the time when I'm on-site for my work I need to do hotspot tethering. Better invest in one.

Yea night mode’s exposure is better. Th first photo if u check out the roofs on the right hand side. Auto is very dark, while night mode able to show the actual shape and colour of the roofs.

But night mode will require u to stay still for 5 seconds after taking the photo. I’m guessing for them to take a few shots and stitch it together, or to have higher exposure. Not really pro at this photography. 😂
