UPDATE ON THIS EVENT.

AUGUST I filed a complaint to TRIBUNAL MALAYSIA on my NOTE 9 spoilt due to water damage and SAMSUNG refused to repair, then they void my warranty.

SEPTEMBER attended a hearing hosted by TRIBUNAL between me and SAMSUNG MALAYSIA representative. After debating , TRIBUNAL final decision is SAMSUNG had to repair my NOTE 9 for free as ip68 submerge in water 30minits less than 1.5metres is what they advertise although at their warranty got mention water damage is not covered and only water resistance for clear water without force. TRINUNAL called it bait advertisement.

TRIBUNAL offering SAMSUNG to give a new phone of same price which is note 10+ or repair for free. SAMSUNG choose to repair.

Within this period without NOTE 9, i already bought a mid range A50.

You are right. A lot of them just give up once they have water damage on ip68 phone. A few of my friends too. Now they only knew that we can field a complaint to TRIBUNAL(JUST pay rm5) then attend the listening, provide the proof Samsung did mention ip68 30min 1.5metre(on their web site ).

Just love the specs they provided for a50 at rm1000 price tag
