Hahaha...I also don't know what is my credit rating. I assume that Bank scare I "not die" hence keep increasing my limit.

I was in the same situation as well when I just graduated. Burst my very first OCBC Credit Card...with limit of 3.5K hahahhaa.... sweat.gif

Walaooo...that time scared like shit. Scared being sue bankruptcy (now thinking back, damn childish. Bank probably won't give a damn on that outstanding and take the effort to sue that person bankruptcy for 3.5K sweat.gif ), dare not to tell parents, malu to tell friend that my credit card cannot use. Then need to slowly pay back on a monthly basis and scissors cut the card into half to stop myself from using when I was paying back the debt. After I fully settled my outstanding, I made a promise to myself, I MUST fully settle my CC every month. Zero owing. Glad that I am able to keep that promise till today.  thumbup.gif

I basically use credit card as cash. Meals, grocery, petrol, shopping, insurance all tied to Amex from maybank 2 cards. 5% cashback for all transaction on weekend, RM50 cap, that means u need to spend RM1k on that card to reach RM50 cap. Bad habit is you will start thinking everything is discounted 5% (which is not entirely false!)

I think its quite easy to hit RM50, some months u buy new gadget, some months you buy flight tickets, just do it in the weekends.

In one year, u get about RM600 in cashback not including sometimes Maybank do some cashback promo for Amex, like spend minimum RM1k overseas for RM150 cashback.

RM25 credit card tax easily settled, no bank fees - free for life. Not to mention the TREAT points you get to accumulate and exchange for 60" TV later  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

Besides, I hate having to withdraw cash from ATM, sometimes need to rugi RM1, why not go cashless and at the minimum gain points, and cashback.

I do the same. I use CC as cash. I will PayWave whenever it is possible..even RM2. As long as the merchant allows. In another hand, I am also helping Malaysian to boost our cashless adoption. Hopefully we will get as much cashless terminal as possible...especially Apple Pay!! When are you coming??  rclxub.gif
