Today got lazada birthday and can get iPad 6th gen for rm1284. Is that a good deal? Or should just wait for mini 5?

not exactly the same. mostly can except certain cases.

All the buttons and ports are in the same locations on ipad mini 4 and ipad mini 2019, however 2019 one has as slightly larger volume buttons, which may be an issue for some types of casing. The rear microphone is also a problem as while it is located near the camera on the iPad mini 4, it has shifted to the top middle of the case for the iPad mini 5.

yeah, just a quick review.

look: exactly the same as ipad mini 4, so nothing suprise. but i am from mini 2. so can feel that it is a bit thinner.

accessories: all same. still 10w charger instead of 12w one at some other countries.

touch id: it is confirmed a gen 2 touch ID. i have yet to own a gen 2 touch ID device and this is the first one. the speed is significantly faster than my iphone 6+/SE the gen 1 touch ID.

display: ipad mini 2019 is known to have better display of p13 color gamut and true tone. this one to me is less noticeable becos i find that the ipad mini 2 display is already good enough. the air gap on ipad mini 2 is actually less noticeable than ipad 2018 as the display is smaller. but of course, one can easily tell that it is a better screen than older ipad mini 2 which it comes with 'more colours'.

color: space grey one looks very nice now. it is the exact same space grey as ipad pro 2018. looks very nice.
blackfront - seriously this makes the ipad mini's screen look even smaller. i have been using ipad mini 1, 2 and 3 (silver color). it is quite noticeable smaller the screen based on feeling when i switch to space grey one with blackfront. so those who are particular about the bezel, space grey is a colour to go. it indeed makes the bezel less noticeable and i believe this is the reason why i feel the ipad mini 2019 (space grey) screen size seems to be smaller than my ipad mini 2 (silver).

performance: this one is obvious, A12 makes the loading of page etc. at least 4 to 5x faster than the ipad mini 2.

gaming: i only play identity v on mobile. my iphone 6 plus could not cope with the game anymore. obviously ipad mini 2 also. now ipad mini 2019 gives me a chance to play the game on a bigger screen instead of my iphone x. 

restore from old devices: if you have devices on ios 11, you can just directly restore it to the new ipad mini 2019 by placing the device near to the ipad mini 2019. it is very easy. this method is applicable all ios 11 and above device. it will restore your entire existing device to your new ipad mini like how you restore from a backup using itunes.

overall, this new ipad mini 2019 is not going to give you any change in terms of user experience such as look etc. you won't really feel like u are using a brand new device except that every single task you are going to do now is significantly faster. however, if one is concern about performance, upgrade from ipad mini 2 to ipad mini 2019 is a no brainer.

Is the iPad mini 4 SP compatible with mini 5? Anyone knows where to get standard sp around subang/pj area?
