Hope can get some reply on how it works.

So how grabfood work?

1. order from apps
2. motobike driver pick up job
3. motobike driver go to the shop and place order
4. wait for food to be cooked and packed
5. deliver
6. get cash payment, or just deliver because already paid

Any idea?

Want to know if worth to do grab food or not

I think it works like this.

1. Customer order from app
2. Shop gets the order
3. Motorbike driver picks up job
4. Motorbike driver go shop take food
5. Deliver

The shop have the grabfood app and gets ur order straight away. Driver just take and deliver.

Are you sure the shop will get the order from the app?
Then how the shop know if got driver coming? Or driver willing to come, or will cancel half way?

or maybe the driver late? The food prepare for 30 minutes only driver come.. then deliver need another 20 min..

This is correct. If the moto rider cancel also, they can quickly find another rider to replace

For some malls, you can notice plenty of bikes GrabFood and FoodPAnda standby outside, in case got orders from customers
so they only need to walk into mall, get the food then deliver. pretty fast

For standalone restaurant outside malls, more waiting time for delivery i think as need to wait for the rider to get to location from wherever before picking up food

the shop has the apps

when you order, both the shop and the motorbike receive notification.

The shop get your order ready when the delivery man is on the way.

wait delivery man reach only ready order? can close shop due to slow delivery d

That is how it works for grabfood Indonesia, the driver have to pay their own money first and order

Cukur grabfood malaysia not like that

Am I the only one who thinks there are more & more grab food/panda riders beating red lights?

Do they deliver haroom food?

Restaurant sign contract with Grab.
Grab get like 18% (i forgot) share from restaurants' sales.

When customer place order, system will notify restaurant to prepare the food.
After restaurant confirm order, system will assign the task to nearest available courier.
Courier receive notification where to pick up the food and where is the delivery address.
If he arrive early he will have to wait for the restaurant to prepare the food.
If there is no available courier like for an hour (i forgot the exact time limit) the order will be unfulfilled. Customer get their money back and restaurant get their bill covered by grab and the food get wasted.

Not grabfood, but its experience with food panda.
