But I'm not all that hyped up to go. 

I got the offer from UMS in 2000..... studied 1 yr.... then re-apply UM Chemistry.... now i'm a chemist.... none of those continue studying in Environmental Science working in that field... It was just rubbish.... Of course they will say that course is good when u study there.... but dun trust them. Many are jobless after graduate.

I still remember the orientation which was the toughest days of my life.... barely slept for 3 hrs a day... all woke up like zombie and start singing and exercising at 5am...the programme carried on until 12 midnight.....then hv to go back wash cloth and bath....4.30am woke up again... many got sick. Better reject the offer if its a lauzy course.

As i mentioned earlier, i applied to UM and continue using the ptptn loan after paying back the initial 1 yr loan. Do u think its worth it to payback less than 10k but can get a good degree for your future? No point to continue with a lausy degree. There are many courses at SST which are useless...so beware.

I'm a Sabahan of course and going to where I've been all my life isn't exactly what I look forward to. Now let's put that aside shall we? Since it won't matter to you and it is a personal reason.

In general, UMS has one of the best environments and facilities offered from all the local universities available. By right, I wouldn't have any problem wanting to enter the university. Then again, I'm aiming to take English. Like it or not, our English standard of education isn't exactly admirable so to say.
You see dear, he received a course that he did not want, therefor it's only natural that he opted to go for another university for a course that he wants/ has confident in doing. Having a degree in your hand by the end of the day does not guarantee you a job.

I'm sure you wouldn't want to waste a few years doing something you don't like. Why are you hesitant on going UMS by the way? What's your story?

I going to UMS this Friday. Wee... With my parents? But i still undecided whether to buy dekstop or laptop.  If I buy any one of them, can I courier them using Fed-ex?  Btw, I am from west Malaysia.
