QUOTE(stevencjh @ Apr 13 2019, 08:55 PM) Would like to ask can i use one of my supp card of ambank signature Visa Infinite to bring my son in law to Taoyuan Plaza Premium Lounge? the card is not under his name。。Anyone has any experience to let me know? The name on the supp card must be tally with his/her boarding pass. Ie. Supp card is your wife, she has to be there to sign in for someone else. She (likely) can still go in with another CC from different bank. |

QUOTE(stevencjh @ Apr 13 2019, 09:27 PM) ic..so if I use my son's 2 ambank supp card, my son is there to sign, so both of my son and my son in law can enter? You cannot use both CC from the same bank (with same name - your son).Although both cards are under my son's name. Is this correct? (Both of them got boarding pass) BTW is it possible to supp my card to my son in law? So can save all the trouble.. I assume you have both Amb WMC & VI, there are several cases reported here both CC are not allowed at the same time. Nevertheless you may still try if no other choice. Maybe in Taiwan, they don't care. Yes, you can supp card to anyone as long as they reach the age requirement. |

QUOTE(nothingz @ Apr 14 2019, 08:31 PM) T4 has Blossom which is managed by PPL, alternatively you can take a transit bus to T1 for PPL or T2 for TGM. Make sure you have PLENTY of time if you intend to go other terminals from T4 (and back to T4). It is really VERY FAR! The staffs will tell you at least 30 min (one way) and it is no joke. Personally I won't suggest leaving T4 unless you have at least 5-6 hours prior boarding. If not mistaken, the staffs only allow you leaving with minimum 3 hours till boarding, that is merely enough for a quick meal + transit.i have personally tried to take the transit bus to T2, you need to register at a counter with your passport and your air ticket then wait at a transit area for the bus to come. Those staff will ask you why you want to go other terminals, just say you want to buy something there, they will just arrange to let you go |

QUOTE(laymank @ Apr 14 2019, 09:22 PM) Refer to my previous post below:QUOTE(charlesj @ Sep 9 2018, 11:46 PM) Thanks for the info! Seldom fly from Sg recently, more on transit. However, I do fly Airasia from Changi last week. As we know, AA is now in Terminal 4. Thinking of going TGM (in T2) for dinner before flying, I tried to go in directly from T2 (without luggage) but I wasn't allow entry. End up I had to take transit shuttle to T4, went through immigration, took internal shuttle to T2, overall cost me almost an hour! FYI, you only allowed to leave T4 (internally, to other terminals) if you have at least 2 hours buffer! To and fro (T4-T2-T4 internally), easily 40-50min, includes waiting! All ground staffs will give you same warning, and they are right, luckily I have just enough time. Please take note if you plan to do so... |

QUOTE(ubeyou @ Apr 16 2019, 08:34 AM) Hi guys, might be an off topic question but, Why don't you just get a MBB VI and keep utilizing it?any disadvantage for cancelling a card prior AF charges? As many cards offer 1st year waive If I does that with different banks, lets say 2019 apply UOB, 2020 cancel 2020 apply Maybank VI, 2021 cancel 2021 apply Maybank Premier, 2022 cancel and so on Would i get blacklisted for doing this? Just want their Free Access to Lounges AF is waived with 50k spend, not too hard to achieve this especially with frequent travel. |

QUOTE(real55555 @ Apr 16 2019, 04:44 PM) I think this depends from the staff manning the lounge.... Probably in msia they will be quite strict because a lot of ambank card holders trying to enter.... I do agree, and it is hard to audit overseas PPL.I tried entering Shanghai PPL which is also the china eastern airlines lounge, using my ambank VS and VS Islamic CC for entries for myself and my wife... no problem, and no PPL charges up until now. That's why I still ask him to try if no other option. Best to get another card to prevent disappointment. |

QUOTE(ubeyou @ Apr 16 2019, 05:23 PM) Most of my travels located in Asia Pacific (cheap Airasia ticket), not a big spender when travel aboard. Then why not?& most of my transactions in local were done using Bank Transfer (No Card Payment). Past year my AF perhaps around 30k only. Perhaps only way to reach 50k is via BigPay? Try explore more ways to pay with CC. |

Most of the airports are about the same, which limits to 3 hours.
In order to enjoy your time in the airport, you have to online check-in + arrive early (3 hours) and immediately drop your bag once the counter is open. Before middle east, Sg, KL, BKK and HK are the major transit hubs between eastern and western countries. Most of the long haul flight only have sufficient fuel from Europe to SEA countries. With the rise of middle east, they are now direct competing with SEA as transfer hubs, where they are geographically superior than SEA / HK especially for USA east coast cities. Only until recent years, we now have super long haul flight from direct from Sg to USA / NZ to USA. Hence, all these transit hubs are providing excellent service to attract travelers around the world to take their flight / spend in their airport / city. Of course KLIA is out of the picture for the time being. Frankfurt airport is another excellent airport, where you can have early check-in while flying Lufthansa (if not mistaken, certain SA flights as well). You may even check-in from train station if you are boarding the train from nearby cities! The train is part of the "flight", you can include them during your booking. QUOTE(limeuu @ Apr 20 2019, 11:42 AM) Each airport, and each airline has their own policy regarding check in, and bag drops.... Yes, Changi is one of the best airport in the world, if not the best. Most airports adopts the standard policy of 3 hrs bag drop before flights....Changi stands out as one that encourages transit passengers to visit....they have many extra services to facilitate that ... In the old days they have the Singapore stopover holidays for as cheap as USD1....they still have the stopover tours...the left luggage charges are cheap.... efficient public transport right to the terminals.... AND.....the long standing policy of early bag drop..... All with one single simple aim..... encourage you to go downtown and spend money...lol QUOTE(limeuu @ Apr 20 2019, 03:34 PM) In some destinations, the airlines MUST ensure compliance with immigration rules.... including processing a valid visa, and/or a return/onward booking....failing which the airlines get fined if passenger arrives and gets turned back....... Exactly, especially when you purchase / redeem return ticket separately. So it's necessary.... where were you going?..... |

QUOTE(touristking @ Apr 20 2019, 04:43 PM) Yup, but I think not when you arrive KLIA and you are compulsory to take their express train. For Frankfurt airport, you may check in hundreds km away while boarding their train to airport. This post has been edited by charlesj: Apr 20 2019, 07:57 PM |

QUOTE(digidigi @ Apr 21 2019, 01:55 PM) Nowaday I avoid Dubai, Emirate is an overrated airline, business class hard product is bad and service is deteriorating over years. The airport itself is big but nth too impressive as well Only transit in Dubai / taking Emirates once during my honeymoon several years ago.Not much memory left about the airport. Nevertheless, Emirates coverage is quite good, they fly almost all major cities in Europe. Compare to SQ only cover a handful of cities in Europe. Nevertheless, Emirates first class is one of the best, and only redeemable with the following FFP: Japan Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Qantas, Korean Air and Emirates Not many Msia CC can transfer points into these. Edit: added redeemable FFP for Emirates first class This post has been edited by charlesj: Apr 21 2019, 05:37 PM |

QUOTE(James1983 @ Apr 24 2019, 10:34 AM) Not sure why Enrich is like the red headed step child partner? When other partners have such privilege Only 5 FFP can redeem, inc Emirates itself. Not many, AM also not entitled. Just like SIA first class, I think available only for KF. Lufthansa first class, if not mistaken only open for partner airlines 2 weeks before fly. I think we should urge the banks (Maybank etc) to allow redemption for more FFP. |
