Samsung is desperate now..
Those phone is focus mainly for "low line" countries like India, Indonesia & Malaysia 😈

Direct competition with Chinese makers...

In order to gain market share, it's a smart strategy to target high population country.
Since Samsung lost in China, it makes sense for them to divert their attention at other regions.

Actually smart move...
I heard in India, there's some backlash on Chinese products... Saw some fellow burning in roadside...
So Samsung might have some advantage on this situation 😎

It's always political motivated.

China-South Korea have tension. The Chinese are not boycotting Korea products and do not want to visit South Korea anymore.
India-China also have tension especially at the Kashmir border. Both are racing to dominate as the Asian superpower.

Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and Xiao Mi have successfully outcast Samsung and Apple out from China.

Apple is starting to invade India.
But their balls are small to play with the price war.
Even with Xr, they don't want to involve in price war.

I think they are not there yet when it comes to competing toe-to-toe with the Chinese. Especially on the bang-for-buck department.

Ya, providing timely updates isn’t exactly Samsung’s strengths.

Agreed...
Was reading the review on M20 for India..
Somehow just so so.. They said Chinese phone still better with more features... Only strength is the 5000 mAh battery 👍

It's too be expected for a midrange phone I guess, but ya, I think Xiaomi is probably more bang for buck.

Xiaomi have good phone. Been using Mi3, Redmi 1S, Redmi 5. The problem of the buggy OS still not yet solve and FC frequently. I suspect it is due to Google because inland dont use google and most of the resources are for China ROM

Xiaomi is one of the choice...
But there's seems to be some backlash on Chinese products... Maybe would hurt some sales.. As usual, after certain period.. Business as usual 😊
