Update the front page with M10 info and pricing....again Samsung Malaysia seems more keen on pushing A series than M series...

You can get A10 with 32GB storage at about same price as M10 plus One UI than old Samsung Experience... rclxub.gif

Forgot to mention M10 did have additional ultra wide camera. So up to u to decide..
*
Both the A10 and M10 don’t have FP readers right?

Cool. Ya, for 700 bucks and that kinda specs, it's quite a steal. Better than the M20, although you lose 1000mAh in battery capacity.

No social apps on this phone. Only whatsapp.
*
That’s pretty amazing. Looks like the standby battery drain is very minimal. Nice job, Samsung!

QUOTE(zaidi @ Apr 23 2019, 07:32 AM)
Not just slow, most of the time can't detect registered finger print properly.
And only 3 FP can be registered at a time, so you can't add more sample
*
Didn’t they issue a software update for this? They did for the S10 and everyone is saying the FP reader now is much improved. I sold off my S10+ before the FP reader software update though, but before that it was inconsistent as well.

The thing is Samsung uses Optical Fingerprint Sensor on the A50 and Ultra-Sonic on the S series. Optical sensors will always be slower than Ultra-Sonic but Ultra-Sonic has trouble to read fingerprint if the screen is scratched or even applied with screen protector.
*
I still prefer the capacitive physical FP reader coz unlocking your phone should be a seamless process rather than a frustrating one laugh.gif Heard their facial recognition is fast but I don’t dare use it as it isn’t secure.

Choosing between the A50 and A30. Do you guys think that the 300ish plus price of the A50 is worth it compared to A30? Gonna be using primarily for surfing and watching streaming. Not into mobile games.
*
For surfing and streaming I think the A30 would suffice.

Ahh, okie. Out of curiosity bro, why not pick the A30 instead which will be slightly cheaper and has an AMOLED screen, albeit a slightly smaller battery?

Prefer the 5000mah battery & my mom uses her camera alot when travelling. M20 camera have Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus, while the A30 only fixed focus. smile.gif
*
I see... well, I suppose for travelling, a 5000mAh battery can’t go wrong!

Guys, any feedback yet for those who are using an A30? I hope the GPS issue is an isolated case.

Found the comment from Lazada here.

Ya, I’m curious too. It seems to be a mixed bag with some saying it has problems and some saying there’s no issues.

Agreed..A30 is worth the buck

I dont really mind about the build coz samsung quite sturdy in a way..
*
Yes, and also Samsung’s after sales service is pretty good too, that’s why I’m not too concerned about getting lemon units - it’s just a backup phone anyway smile.gif

Mi about to launch the Mi 9 SE as another midrange alternative in our market... pity about the smallish battery though..
