Didn't even realized they upgraded since my sim is super idle, put into nokia dumbphone thats 4g capable. Only usage is 1-2mb data every 3 months to keep it active. Login into the new app and it showed sim activation on march last year. Still got 3gb and 100mb free from activation. Even got 120 minutes free out of nowhere, expiry listed as n/a

So no more advantage of long validity with minimal effort and less $$ needed. Not sure whats the point of unifi mobile new plan now. Previously ppl put up with lackluster coverage compared to the big 4 because got the long validity. Now thats gone, coverage still the same, no advantage whatsoever. Dafuq they're thinking lol

Actually with hotlink pantas can get extra 3 months added on the 1 year with rm30 if patient. Just reload rm10 x 3 months then on the fourth month buy the 365.

Previously on the 1st version of the plan can get it for "free" by reloading rm5 every month x 12 months and at the end we still keep the cumulative rm30. Sadly they realized the fukup and revised rm5 to be rm10 to get 30 days validity.

The unifi app migration is really a mess. Some people got all their previous free stuff deleted, some people still got them listed but can't use. I still got mine but haven't check whether it can be used or not.

Their app used to be the worst mobile telco app around, even ytl with their less customer is better. Slow, buggy, crashing like made by unpaid intern. Now while its being refreshed to new modern look, the backend still shit. Can't expect much from an entity linked to gov and been enjoying monopoly on their other businesses arm. What a joke of a telco.

Doubt so. Most telco treated new reg as new plan in system regardless of whats printed on the physical sim packaging.

I used to collect those vip nice numbers with shelf life being extended by telco for their rarity but physical packaging stayed the same as it was printed day 1, reg as newest plan in telco system at the moment of reg.

And they can do that. I can guarantee theres a phrase somewhere in their t&c saying its 100% up to them.

Celcom does that in 2015. My x2 prepaid with 10minutes call for 28sen being auto converted to newer x3, losing the cheap call.

Hotlink does that few years ago, originally reload rm5 can get 30days validity but all being auto converted to current pantas plan, from rm5 for 30days now doubled to rm10 for 30days.

Whatsapp call is voip, nothing to do with telco call charges since it uses the internet. Furthermore no telco in malaysia charges for incoming calls.

I just noticed my free data that i got 2 years ago with bebas sim that they grandfathered and listed in the app as n/a validity can't be used anymore. Previously can be used just fine before they introduced the new plan. Lucky the free 60minutes call can be used so i just used it every 85 days to make few second call to extend sim validity.

Wonder how many years till they totally fck the og bebas plan so can't be freeloader extend forever anymore.

They really want me to migrate from the old bebas prepaid without validity to the new uni5g with validity. Every week got sms trying to persuade me to change plan, with negligible "bonus". Just got an sms telling me to migrate, reload rm10 and get puny rm10 tealife voucher lmao

Of course not. I'm keeping it as long as i can. Its the most cost effective plan to idle numbers used only for sms 2fa recovery. Mine haven't reload since got the sim in 2019 and only survived on the freebies they gave at registration, still got 3gb data and 120 minutes call thats enough to auto extend every 3 months for a few years.

Tunetalk i think 200gb/12months for rm200. Just +rm20 for +80gb there. Seriously not even sure whats the point of unifi wow. At least previous bebas got proper non expiring credit and auto extend validity via usage for super low usage ppl. They killed that and wow just not that attractive at all.

They renamed the unifi mobile app? Just got a spam sms from them yesterday, thought its their usual spam asking me to migrate to wow but it mentioned "uniVerse" thing. Now my unifi mobile app also renamed to unifi uniVerse. Got logged out too need to relogin again.

My sim that got the 8gb free on raya also gone the 8gb. Tm give and tm take back haha. Still got 3gb, still enough for a few years validity to open YouTube every 3 months.

Just realised my validity doesn't extend too after using free signup data. Anyone know if free complementary call minutes can be used to extend? I still got 120 minutes free complementary call minutes. If that doesn't work too then the only option is to reload rm10 and sending 1 sms every 87 days.
