If i use unifi mobile bebas together with Tenda router, then i want to use Tenda CCTV, no problem right?

Or Unifi mobile bebas got restriction on IP CCTV usage in terms of only giving private IP instead of public IP?

Thanks. Yes I am aware of this. But for the past few months, I constantly gotten 20mbps even after reaching certain data threshold. Well, I guess it has come to an end. sad.gif
*
So you’ve reached data usage of >50GB i suppose? For that 1 particular month?

If so, i guess you gotta wait till the new month comes, then data FUP quota will be refreshed again to 0?

Nothing is perfect, nothing is without a catch these days. yawn.gif

TM accepted the offer from MCMC for a 20 MHz spectrum block of the 2600 MHz spectrum band through its subsidiary, Webe Digital Sdn. Bhd. (“webe”). The allocated block of 2575 MHz to 2595 MHz is effective from 1 July 2022, with total applicable fee of RM37 million over a period of five (5) years

webe band 38 is back

So is this going to widen the 5G spectrum or the existing 4G?

Me wouldn't encourage having dedicated external antenna to gain better/stable signal if the current stock antenna can get full bar at the current location/spot...

But if the signal is weak, then, try relocate the router next to window(s) or different room(s)... else, might need to get better router like from ZTE or Who-R-We qhich has better built-in antenna setups...
*
well i did put near the windows. but the thing is, the building i am in have another building infront. so might affect the overall signal?

QUOTE(ahlong0180 @ Aug 10 2022, 11:20 AM)
Can i know your signal strength?
I realize even full bar Band 38/40 can also disconnect and fall back to 2G sometimes on my phone at certain areas.
Probably need submit online form thru app if thats the case.
*
75% from what i checked inside MR200 admin statistic page.
always get 3 out of 4 bar on the router display.

if this problem still continue to happen, i might consider changing to another telco, maybe hotlink PANTAS works well?
CCTV doesn't consume much data right?

i use unifi mobile prepaid bebas to run my 5 indoor CCTVs at my office, namely workshop, using china mari brand punya cctv. so far been working flawlessly for the past 3 months. but then recently, got this problem. rclxub.gif

3/4 bars should be fine
you can try test on Hotlink Pantas sim to see if this problem persists onot
I would continue troubleshooting to find out where's the problem (test sim on phone/another router etc)

Mind recommend me best (yet cheap) 4G router for unifi mobile? Some say Tenda is perfect?

planning to get unifi air (simcard only) & hook it up via Tenda 4G router.

using the same band as unifi mobile right? B5 & B40?

if previously i can get max 7.5Mbps, with unifi air i could get nearly 20Mbps or more (and can support more devices), depending on coverage?

B5, B38, and B40.

Your previous 7.5 Mbps max on unlimited plan or high speed data ? If on high speed data, then on Air also probably gonna get around that speed.

However if on unlimited plan, maybe can get higher with Air.
*
Actually the 7.5Mbps was on unifi mobile prepaid Bebas via Tenda 4G router.
I also have another Unifi mobile postpaid RM79 inside my Ipad pro M1 LTE. The speed achieved was at a blazing 30Mbps though.

So Unifi Air will be based on Bebas OR the postpaid version?

Speed will follow postpaid version. Do update with us once you get your Air sim.
*
after bought a new Tenda 4G06 router (old one broke down), here is what i've experimented so far:

unifi mobile prepaid bebas rm35: max speed ~7.7mbps
unifi mobile postpaid rm79 (via ipad pro 5G): max speed ~12mbps <-- coverage at my current location is quite shitty LOL. used to get ~25-40mbps at klang valley area once
unifi Air postpaid rm79: max speed ~22mbps

not bad for unifi air. speed is just nice for my office. most importantly, unifi air can support many devices with comfortable speed ~5-10mbps per device

Unlike unifi mobile prepaid bebas when i got like 5-6 devices connected thru the tenda 4G router and the speed is horrendous, ~0.5mbps-2mbps per device doh.gif

so conclusion:

unifi mobile prepaid bebas rm35: speed capped at 8mbps, unlimited devices but definitely it will be very slow once you got like 5-6 devices using it at once
unifi Air postpaid rm79: speed up to ~30mbps? (depends on coverage i guess?), 5-6 devices connected thru it yet the speed is still fast & comfortable for use

so yes, Unifi Air speed will follow the unifi mobile postpaid version.

wondering if Unifi Air supports 5G now. need to change to 5G router? puke.gif

Is Unifi Air affected with this 10GB hotspot?

Unifi mobile Postpaid i know already got 10GB hotspot from day 1.

Feel sorry for you guys who invested in unifi mobile prepaid + 4G modem. Perhaps move to another better telco?

Probably I didn't make my sentences clearer.
I was saying, in the past, some would use Unifi Bebas prepaid on their "4g routers" because its unlimited hotspot (before they introduce 5g even) until last month Unifi decide to put an end to unlimited hotspot in their Prepaid.
So those who are using in their 4G legal routers or use their phone as hotspot frequently, can start crying already.  And no, I'm not touching any topic about mods or hacks.

And also no mentioning of 5G though it its automatically assumed people would want to use it on 4g routers because 5g routers cost as much as a 5G mobile phone.
*
Mind you, those who hope to use unifi bebas prepaid rm35 in 4g routers (halal or not) are those who are typical rakyat marhaen m40 or b40; couldnt afford to get unifi rm89 30Mbps or maybe they don’t have enough ports/no telephone poles at their house taman yet.
But there is Unifi Air though; true unlimited data & hotspot. RM79 per month though.

But reality is cruel, capitalist need proper sales to sustain their business.

It’s not personal. It’s just business. icon_rolleyes.gif

Corrected your sentence.
Telcos are still valid on unlimited data terms, even if you wanna fight with them in court.
Doesnt mean you can have 'unlimited' full speed at Rm 30 per month . Telcos arent stupid.
Dont be a cheapskate, expect pay Rm 30 and expect no speed cap.

If you really want unlimited data and no cap speed, pay more.  whistling.gif

Example DIGI
Digi used to have Digi Infinite 150, but however its been discontinued.
Replaced with DIGI Postpaid 150 but must put add on for unlimited . T&C applies.

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=105804891
https://www.digi.com.my/postpaid/add-ons

Another recommendation if you want pure unlimited speed and quota, is Celcom Mega 188.
FUP 2000GB (2TB)

https://soyacincau.com/2022/11/02/celcom-me...data-per-month/

Yeap. You want em' you have to pay Rm 188 per month.

A cheaper alternative is Maxis Wireless Broadband BTW, as I mentioned earlier, has a package , RM 138/month unlimited , but FUP 300GB. Might be sufficient for me, but not enough for you.
*
those who really need broadband wireless unlimited data with unlimited hotspot are those who stay in taman houses but:

1. has no telephone poles for many, many, many years (telcos wouldn't want to invest there as not worth it; not much demand)
2. has poles, but NO MORE PORTS

hence the need to get broadband wireless.

before this, they all are very happy with unifi mobile prepaid bebas, altho with max 8Mbps speed, janji got unlimited hotspot quota. but now, things have changed and not in their favor anymore.

like you mentioned earlier, Celcom Mega 188 or maxis Wireless is the way to go, but very pricey.
i guess that's the high price to pay for needing unlimited data, unlimited hotspot quota.

inb4 wired broadband > all

No more Unifi Mobile 99 (RM59)

Must use a 5G device, or your usage will be limited.

I am using unifi postpaid mobile 4G rm59 for my ipad pro M1 5G since 2021.
So my existing plan still remains, or i will be forced to UNI5G 59 package?

I don’t use internet much as i always have broadband at home & office. Only certain times when i am away for outstation, i will use 4G on my ipad pro.

So UNI5G 59 sounds like a perfect package for me; 60GB data. hmm.gif

I have existing RM59 unifi mobile postpaid package. Unlimited 4G data + 10GB hotspot.

Saw the UNI5G RM55 package where it has 60GB data quota (5G +4G) + 10GB hotspot.

Do you guys think it’s economical to switch to UNI5G?

I use it mainly inside my ipad pro 12.9 M1 5G. Rarely travels but balik kampung, sometimes i will use it a lot.

60GB can last for a week for light multimedia consumption yes?

Does your kampung have 5G? If not I think you remain current package.
You can also consider their prepaid BEBAS, which you only pay when you balik kampung. You got 5Mbps speed cap but more affordable.
*
Yes my kampung got coverage although sipi-sipi only. But still can get 5G.

Then when i read the fineprint, it seems the RM55/mth promo will ends on 30th april 2023. Later will revert back to RM65/mth.
Compare to my existing RM59 package, not economical to switch.

Will wait till 5G becomes much much cheaper.

Oh and i i prefer postpaid because lazy to topup every month. Some more the Unifi mobile prepaid app is quite buggy at times doh.gif
