QUOTE(tympg @ Dec 17 2019, 11:03 PM)
If you can get VoLTE without the WiFi switched on on your phone, you should be able to get VoLTE with the WiFi on.

VoLTE doesn't go through WiFi at all so WiFi is irrelevant.

You might be thinking of VoWiFi (Voice over WiFi) aka WiFi Calling, which is something else altogether.  Digi and U Mobile have VoWiFi but I don't know about Unifi.

QUOTE(keiichimorisato @ Dec 18 2019, 12:38 PM)
Yes, but VoLTE has no connection to Wi-Fi (as explained on the post above). As long as you see VoLTE logo on your mobile, you should be able to use it, whether you're connected to Wi-Fi or not.
*
Thanks tympg and keiichimorisato. My phone has the option to 'use mobile data during VOLTE calls on secondary SIM'. But when I activate this and on my mobile, it doesn't display any VOLTE , so not sure whether its using VOLTE. In fact when I initially dialled the number, it turned to H+ sign which the H+ soon disappeared. Will try with VoWiFi later.

i think the rm59 plan is quite worth it if within coverage since it is unlimted for both 4G and 3G data unlike the prepaid (bebas) one that seperates between the 3G and 4G data.

i think i will port my hotlink number to it before 31 dec 2019.

however, just to confirm, can i receive OTP when in overseas?

the auto roaming is also available right? i dun need data roaming, i just need to receive calls or sms.

no upfront fee for MNP also.

For customers who subscribe to a new number via unifi.com.my, TM
Resellers, TM Authorised Dealers and any TMpoint outlet nationwide, you
will be charged with an upfront payment of RM100.
๏‚ง For a limited time only, weโ€™re waiving the upfront payment of RM100
for all Mobile Number Portability (MNP) customers.

Is the bebas prepaid Unifi mobile a good indication of the speed for postpaid also?

If yes, to be fair the speed at my house is not too bad.

YouTube app can stream at 1080p with no problem.

Tmr will try at other common places I will be at normally to see the speed. If it is good, I will seriously consider to switch to this rm59 plan.

one killing part to me for the postpaid unifi mobile is that, if needs to activate auto roaming, must pay rm300 deposit and it can only be done at tm point.

Speed at congested area.

Can still stream 1080p YouTube video with manual selection. However, it buffers for a while first before it can be played.

Supposedly yes. Why don't you apply for the new number though? So in case of bad network coverage an/or speed, just discard that thing.

thanks bro for ur sharing. thumbup.gif

good to hear feedback from current users for decision making.

besides, may i know if you can constantly stream youtube video at 1080p be it manually set or auto (according to tnc, it said video streaming is auto set at 480p). this is actually the main reason i am interested in this plan, becos i want to do video streaming on unlimited data on the go.
