when it comes to UX im not only talking about the icon nod.gif

its the user experience as a whole

Samsung's OEM version of android has always been "user first" after their major overhaul in 2015 with the s6/s7/note 5 models

there are many small and unnoticable features that are in Samsung's version of android.

its like, when you "need to use it", its there
for example, like their built in clipboard manager, you dont always use it, but its there when you need it
another example is their motion camera feature, there was once i snapped a photo of some important information, but i lost it

then i review back the photo, but i did not manage to snap the full details

SURPRISINGLY, the motion camera captured the last 2-3 seconds of my phone movement. so it saved me as i have the details back (as i was moving my camera around the information that i did not manage to take) nod.gif

i used it before, so i know

its pack with everything u ever wanted, but when u not need it? it'll become a burden ,which will cost u battery and performance down the line,it happen to all samsung phone, especially big update comes, many were not pleased with one ui ( note 8,9)

Note 8 user, absolutely love one ui. Never fail to surprise me. Speed faster, more responsive and battery last longer.

hmm i suppose it depends on the user then nod.gif

for me i never bothered with SOT since years ago even when im not using Samsung phones.

as long as the phone can lasts me whole day from 9am till i reach home from work without needing to charge.

im satisfied nod.gif

i wont purposely stress myself to go and check every now and then to monitor the SOT only to be stressed out because my usage for today was heavy until it couldnt reach the average of 4 hours worth of SOT laugh.gif

i believe everyday the SOT will be different nod.gif

sometimes will be due to major heavy usage, sometimes standby time is longer as i didnt really use the phone.

Huawei market its Smarkphone as cameras

But actually use DSLR camera in the ads instead of the shit camera on the phone.

I don't check sot after 1 month or so after first use the phone

but i very picky if i have top constantly top up my device,i feel that my battery will weaker faster if i keep top up the battery, because of this habit i think my battery usually stay the same after half year

I think everyone will notice battery drain, even if they dont know how to check it, Samsung really need to tone down their software even more, too many things running at background that we can't do anything bout it

in term of hardware, samsung>others, but software wise, they need to improve, its not the greatest.

Hahahaha.. i said many times d. Samsung camera fking overrated.

Day time shots look average AF. Night time they increase brightness of the photos but sacrifice detail.

Every night shot taken on s8/s9/note9/s10 all look like shit balls.

As usual waiting for samsengfags to come in and defend.

The best overall camera is still Huawei mate series. Cant wait for p30pro.

night camera on s10 is just so2.. but gooding on huawei (night mode only ek, not overall camera performance).

The best night mode is from gugel (night side, i know they copy huawei), but they did it better

Sometimes it's not the camera

Its the person don't know how to use

Lel

However i am still very impressed with pixel's night sight

Enough la. A smartphone is supposed to take a good photo regardless of the user skills.

If it is so dependent on user skills, then its not a smartphone.

Huawei night mode is still the best.

Just admit samseng camera is so fking overrated. Its so bad that i need to install Gcam on my phone .

They were old phones after all. Then again, look at that P20 shot on a computer screen and it's artifacts galore

Ur eyes got problem. The picture only looks bright on the s7.look at the details la. Look at the windows on the buildings. Absolutely zero details. Rubbish

Seems like u cant differentitate a good photo from a lousy photo. Just because the photo is bright means its good? Lol
