Follow the bank rate for ATM for FX

Overseas depending on card providers with minimum 1% markup over their FX rate usually account to be 2% or more on average

got meh? didnt notice ppl saying that

Maybank's documentation for MAE only stated competitive rate, but doubt it would match bigpay's scheme fx without forex markup (usually banks/FIs apply 1.xx%)

mbb charges 2% markup for their cards AFAIK... so just ckecking here anyone seen a lower number...

bp waived their 1% markup so it's hard to beat... but I read in their thread lots of problems using their card...

cybpsych... found the general debit card details...i guess MAE will follow clause 63 Conversion for Overseas transaction

QUOTE
Where the Cardholder  use the Card  outside  Malaysia, the transactions shall be charged  in the official currency of the country  concerned and  converted  into  Ringgit Malaysia  at  such exchange  rate and  at  such  time  as  may  be determined by Visa/ MasterCard  International  at its  absolute discretion.  Mark  up  fee of 1% from the transaction amount

QUOTE(xander83 @ Oct 13 2021, 08:19 PM)
By far only BP and OCBC has the most competitive FX rate by far and both are backed by MasterCard

BP grandfathered MasterCard moving everyone Visa... nevertheless Visa's fx only marginally higher than MasterCard and not a concerned imho... yes so far only BP and OCBC are 0% markup... almost all others are 1% markup
