what happens to B40 now?
*
this is where the discrepancy/gap comes in

ewallet apps' security must be reasonably high >>> low-income/b40/hardcore pool ppl will never able to conduct cashless payment in their community

kinda contradicting effort bangwall.gif

I cannot imagine why need to go to ATM to withdraw id you can just do through Internet at home into e-wallet. What is the scenario? hmm.gif

haiyaa...not everyone as tech/financial savvy as you/us biggrin.gif

1) some need cash for quick spending, eg rental, bills, remittance, etc
2) some dont use internet banking, ewallet, or even having smartphone
3) with smartphone... then need data plan, need to keep renew/subsribe plan after quota finish, etc etc --- additional cost to maintain connectivity
4) with smartphone... not to forget upgrade phone too when the app require higher OS level --- again, additional cost
5) some paranoid of technology
6) some even prefer counter over ATM (good example, my father sweat.gif )
7) some prefer do cash-based transactions
8) some merchants dont accept ewallet/digital payments
9) some places no/poor internet coverage
10) etc etc etc

at least official answer from maybank

just a backlog issue from the vendor, nothing much maybank can do actually as they have sent all relevant new card details to the vendor to perso the new MAE card.

Travelled to SG over the weekend with my MAE card and TnG Visa card.
Compared both and it seems MAE card is still the clear winner in terms of exchange rate.

Left my BigPay card at home, else would've tested it as well.
Not too bad, always thought eWallets would be superior but it seems MAE is holding up well.

depends on whether they want to impose forex markup* or impose lower markup (eg mae card) or dont impose at all (eg previous bigpay mastercard).

for tng visa, if compared to spot rate, you can backward calculate how much tng markup on top of scheme's forex conversion.

Any chance MAE app will allow multiple accounts in the future?

Previously my M2U app has two account in it Savings account (S) & Current account ©. I can switch between both at any given time.

Since using MAE app, it's tied with S only. I can't add C because MAE is limited to 1 account, but I still can use C in M2U because Secure2u in M2U still can be used.

Now that Secure2u has moved permanently from M2U to MAE, it's so hard to me to do transaction via app for C. No choice but to do transaction via M2U website.

MAE can already support multiple accounts

not sure if MAE App has limitation to display certain account type (eg CA). Mine above are all individual/SA.

Anyone manage multi account login and secure2u on same device?

I have issue since my both company login ID and personal ID register same phone number, by using 2 different device will force unlink either 1 devices.
