QUOTE(RViN @ Mar 7 2019, 04:46 PM)
Registering multiple fingerprints for each finger works ... problem is when I tried it only allows a maximum of four fingerprints, so doing each thumb twice and I reach the limit.

But I need it to recognise at least one index finger for when I leave it lying down on the table, so that option isn't feasible.

What I noticed with this FP scanner compared to the capacitive one i had before is that, for the capacitive I just register the finger straight on, and it can recognise the finger even if its sideways or upside down, the orientation doesn't matter.

With the S10 FP scanner though, if I scan the finger completely straight on, if I try to unlock with it being at a 45 degree or 90 degree angle it no longer matches it. So what I did was recalibrate my thumbs each both at a 0 degree angle, then 45, then 90 degrees since they can be that way depending on whether my phone is on the table or how its held in the hand.

Seems to work better now, still isn't perfect but I don't get as many failures.

Strange, I registered my thumb straight but unlock works with my thumb 45 or 180 degrees. Just tried it. But mine without the screen protector......thanks to my son who peeled it off. Now have to find SP. Not sure Samsung Store have TP ones which works with the FP scanner or not. The one I went in IOI City Mall doesn't work.

Finally managed to get tempered glass SP for my S10+. Got it from Samsung MV. FP sensor works, but less sensitivity comparing to totally no screen protector at all. Price is not cheap tho, similar with Dome Glass pricing.

Yep. But you can try T-Max which is RM129 for 2 pcs from Sakurazz. For me, I cannot wait because my factory installed SP peeled off by my son.

Sensitivity meaning overall screen or the FP? If screen sensitivity, there's an option to increase the sensitivity of your screen in the settings.
*
The FP sensitivity. Without SP I just tap and in I go. With SP need to hold longer and with TP glass SP I need to press and wait a little.

Anybody experience trading in their phone at Samsung Store? Is it very very hard?Thinking of trading in my Note for S10e. I had a very bad experience before in Lowyat Plaza Samsung Store when trying to trade in my iPhone X to Note.

Yes.
Just traded my note 8. They did very very thorough check though- finally was rated A for rm1050.

Does not want the trouble selling it myself. Deal on spot and took the S10

Thank you for the info. I had to wait almost 2 hours for them to check my iPhone X last time. They were very thorough to a point of nitpicking I feel. Ended up they rate my iPhone X as B. I asked them why, then they showed me a hairline scratch on my phone. I don't agree with the result so I told them I don't want to trade in my phone. Then the guy who is serving me asked if I want to buy the Note using cash or credit card......before I could answer, one of the clown said to the guy in Cantonese "No money la sure installment". I got angry and plunked about RM5K in cash infront of the guy and answered back in Cantonese "what you mean no money". I put back the money in my pocket and drove to The Gardens to buy my Note and sold my iPhone on Garage Sales. That time I just got my quarterly sales incentive so thought of taking some to buy something nice but ended up feeling pissed.

Damn, don't let it get to you man . Remember , you are the one able to buy the phone smile.gif

Just worried will go through the whole ordeal again. But I saw one of the guy trading in his S9 for the S10 in MV......seems like the whole process is much more simpler than what I gone through last time. The trade in offer runs till April, will trade in my Note for S10e for my wife after all the dust settle first.
