Zerolution 360 is basically a rental program. Once your 24 months contract is up you have a choice to terminate the service and return the phone to Maxis or return the device and continue with the service with your own device in which you are no longer in contract.

If you decide to continue using the device with the current plan without contract in which they will still charge you for the device + data plan.

If you want to keep the device after contract but not wanting to pay the fee, you will have to pay them an exuberant one time fee in which is calculated on device remaining balance charge + an additional fee of 25% of the Device Recommended Retail Price (RRP) at the time of your subscription to the Plan(s) + additional administration charges.

In which case the contract is not actually 24 months for the device. It's ongoing as long as you hold on to the device. You're only tied to the plan for 24 months but you're still liable to pay for plan & device price for until you return it.

The SSTC doesn't state so or at least, I wasn't told this. I was told I only pay plan price after 24th month. While clause 19 applies only to those who want to keep the device at the end of the contract.

The purpose of the contract in this case is to lock you in on paying the agreed charges on the device and plan for 24 months. During the contract period if you decide to skip out early, you will be liable to pay the penalty for ending the contract prematurely, and the device will need to return to Maxis.

Whoever explained to you is wrong or does not fully understand the T&C. Regardless its at the end of the contract or you ending it prematurely, as long as you are keeping the device you are liable to pay the charges that Maxis has set out.

Like I have mentioned this is a rental program, you will never own the device. You can upgrade to a new device but you cannot keep the old device because all these while you are only paying the rental fee for the device.

On the other hand, the Zerolution plan you are actually paying installment on the device. You will get to keep the phone regardless of contract expire or you ending it prematurely.

Zerolution 360 is a rental programand Zerolution is an installment program.

Sounds about right. But until now maxis still hasn't confirmed on this. Most whom I spoke to did not mention what you've mentioned about the charges. I'm actually pretty much set and already have the answer but I would like maxis to confirm what their tnc is.

You will never get a straight answer out of them. I know becsuse I was in the same situation. Everything stated in the T&C is quite clear, but those so called Maxis customer service seems to be not very familiar with it and giving all the wrong information.

I'm stuck in the zerolution 360 its because at the time it wasnt explain to me and im having the impression that its the premium version of zerolution where you get added insurance and yearly upgrade. I signed up purely for the insurance benefit, at the time the rep didnt even explain to me. Had I know about the T&C on the device I would have go with zerolution instead. I only found out about it after reading through the whole T&C which the customer service couldnt even explainto me on the phone. I went back to the Maxis centre and confront the rep, although he insisted that he did explain to me, which he didnt cause i was in and out of there less than 5 min...which is not enough time for him to explain anything to me at all. I knew it was pointless to argue with him so I just cited the T&C to him and he concurred.

So yah, you dont need Maxis confirmation on this. You are already well aware how it is going to go down. Trust yourself. Maxis is no different than any other scumbag service providers, there are out to get your money in any way possible. They will never be on the losing end, only the consumers will always get the shittiest end of the deal. Their marketing is all bullshit. Just trust your own judgement.
