The monthly mandatory contribution has no limit (employer pay 13%, you pay 11% (deduct from salary)).
Other than the above, you sendiri self top-up (self-contribution) is limited to 100k per year.

This is correct. I was looking into this as well and had called EPF today to confirm.

Another way to increase EPF contribution is through VOLUNTARY EXCESS (VE) -- you can increase from 11% to 100% -- meaning all your salary go straight into EPF.
i wonder if anyone ever try this 100% contribution before? just submit one form and it is effective the next month.

Previously someone mentioned about the 100% rate....
Best is max to 70-80%, ...for there is a need to consided the monthly epf, socso, eis and taxes deduction too.

Cannot 100%, employee already compulsory 7-11% depending on suka-hati current government.
Then some small amount SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, etc.
Then also PCB, let's assume you opt out of PCB.

Theoretical is about 87-88% max, and you have other source of income to sustain your daily life, loans, credit, and also to pay up for income tax since no PCB.

Which generally means you have some business somewhere or someone supporting you. These people will rather use the money as rolling capital for their business rather than dump into EPF.

Big @$$ generalization assumption here.

There are some who has done like 30-40%. A few rare pokemon done like 60-80%+
Personally I've done 20% employee. Still has a lot of balance but rather use it for other investment.

80% is cool! thumbsup.gif

EPF told me can go 100% but final say is from company's HR - as you mentioned, there are other stuff to deduct..
i checked with my company's HR, they also follow the guideline from EPF, which can go 100%.. when i asked more on other deductions, they are not able to answer..
i'm pretty sure they have no idea since it never happen before at my company..

i have tried 20% and the HR is quite efficient, same month deducted already.
next year will test and see how high it can go.. tongue.gif

this was announced like long back last year by EPF
again now is a reminder to tell u that it is coming into effect soon
just accept and move on
politician wont want to risk their career to fight for something that they cant win
rakyat has no power

when this was announced last time, i thought it needs to get approval first.. then suddenly it is going to be effective soon.. did i missed out any announcement on the review/approval? or the EPF board can decide as they like?

Wonder why there's not been more debate/discussion on this? If anything, it's offering less flexibility to Malaysians to manage their own wealth.

Maybe it's because most Malaysians have more than RM1.5m in their accounts so this will not impact them. If that's the case, excuse me while I cry due to how poor I am.

this affects my planning from few years back... now have to change my plan all over.. with the Acc3, still can get those out.. better than nothing. cry.gif
