Unless you're going to be in regular contact with TB-patients or TB-suspect patients ... NO. QUOTE(1tanmee @ Feb 27 2019, 03:13 PM) ... wondering if still possible to get myself TB vaccinated? Misread the question. Possible, YES. Required, NO. Recommended, SEE ABOVE & BELOW. (BCG immunisation does NOT necessarily grant LIFELONG immunity to TB) This post has been edited by trencher10: Feb 28 2019, 12:35 PM

QUOTE(1tanmee @ Nov 15 2019, 02:31 PM) but no immunisation increase chance of getting TB Individual risk to contracting TB DOES NOT depend on immunisation alone, and on the stages of life, practically less of it. And even if you are vaccinated, the real protection is vigilance. UK NHS:BCG tuberculosis (TB) vaccine overview BCG for adults
BCG vaccination is rarely given to anyone over the age of 16 because it does not work very well in adults.
But it's given to adults aged 16 to 35 who are at risk of TB through their work, such as some healthcare workers.
