QUOTE(alien2003 @ Apr 17 2019, 07:00 PM) Even that won't guarantee 4th place since we are already 2pts behind Arsenal on equal games played. must max our pointz and hope others kelong lol. which is hardMax we will get is 79pts (even assuming IF we win all remaining games) and we will need Arsenal to lose 1 game else their max points is 81. |

If the English teams won both UCL and UEL (and both finish in top 4), the no. 5 spot will get UCL spot or not?

QUOTE(HMMaster @ Apr 18 2019, 10:00 AM) If the English teams won both UCL and UEL (and both finish in top 4), the no. 5 spot will get UCL spot or not? Spurs have to finish in Top 4. If Spurs drop out of Top 4 & wins UCL, then no.4 in league won’t qualify for UCL IF either Chelsea or Arsenal wins the UEL & the winner is also not in Top 4. Confused yet? UEFA law says no country shall have more than 5 teams in UCL per season. |

QUOTE(HMMaster @ Apr 18 2019, 10:15 AM) If following, no5 still no UCL? 1. Pool (wins UCL) 2. MCity 3. Arsenal (win UEL) 4. Spurs 5. Man Utd 6. Chelsea QUOTE A breakdown of how PL clubs can qualify for the UEFA Champions League and Europa League Below is a breakdown of how Premier League clubs can qualify to play in UEFA competitions. The maximum number of English teams in UEFA competitions is seven. (Please note UEFA reserves the right to change the conditions of the access list so these criteria can be subject to change.) UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualification In normal circumstances, four UCL places are given to English clubs who fulfil the following criteria: The top four teams in the Premier League qualify for the group stage proper. UEFA Europa League (UEL) qualification In normal circumstances, three UEL places are given to English clubs who fulfil the following criteria: The fifth-placed team in the Premier League qualify for the group stage proper. The winners of the FA Cup qualify for the group stage proper. The EFL Cup winners qualify for the second qualifying round. Where these qualifications changes a) If the FA Cup winners finish in the top five of the Premier League, their UEL group stage place will go to the next-highest ranked team not qualified for UEFA competitions in the Premier League. b) If the EFL Cup winners finish in the top five of the Premier League (or top six if (a) happens), their UEL second qualifying round place will go to the next-highest ranked team not qualified for UEFA competitions in the Premier League. How does winning UCL/UEL affect qualification? Should a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League they will automatically qualify for the group stage of next season's competition regardless of their league finishing position. Should a Premier League club win the UEFA Europa League they will automatically qualify for the group stage of next season's UEFA Champions League regardless of their league finishing position. A maximum of five Premier League teams are eligible for UEFA Champions League qualification. In the event that a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League and another win the UEFA Europa League and neither of these clubs finish in the top four of the Premier League, the club lying fourth in the table will drop into the UEFA Europa League group stage. https://www.premierleague.com/european-qual...ation-explained This post has been edited by alien2003: Apr 18 2019, 10:40 AM |

Barcelona still the favourites to win UCL. But Poo is not far behind as second choice. They beat Bayern quite comfortably and also survived a tough group stage.
Semi final's Barca vs Poo will probably be the definitive final, for me. Whoever win this fixture, win the UCL. As for Spurs and Ajax, only miracle can help them pull the unlikely. |
