It really varies from person to person but really try only when u are really ready.
I thought it may take some time as my friends say better start trying coz not so easy to conceive n may need time. I tried first mth and conceived. To be frank i wasnt 100% ready coz iwe havent even have our honeymoon yet and have few upcoming travel plans but then now i feel i should have tried earlier coz its lesser risk when u are younger

However i did a checkup to see my ovaries health and also a thallasemia check for both of us before getting married just to check we have no issues when we start to try . Before i started trying i even talk to my husband about trying for IVF if we cant conceive within a period of time coz we aint young anymore . Friends told me to try naturally without any stress or timing of ovulation n etc as sometimes stress actually is the reason why its hard to conceive.

We got married 22 November 2008. 1st pregnancy only in August 2016 but my wife got severe pre-eclampsia and our boy died 26 weeks into gestation. 2nd pregnancy in June 2018 but miscarriage on 8th week. Now my wife is 32 week pregnant and we are SUPER anxious. Haven't even bought anything for the baby yet.

Any updates with your IUI? Good News??

Unfortunately, 1st IUI failed even though conditions were all good and the egg matured well, etc. So started the 2nd IUI and we decided to cancel it partway due to my eggs not maturing well even with a higher dosage of hormones. This is due to my PCOS and also my body is quite resistant to the hormones. It was crushing then, but Dr Navdeep was so kind and empathetic that he too felt the blow and remembered all our issues the next visit one month later without going through our file.

Due to the nature of how fast my body is resistant to the IUI (Folliculin 150ui - injections & Letrozole - pills), he recommended IVF to save time as my age is catching up. We too want to minimise the headache. It is expensive, but going through multiple rounds is equally as much, as one round of IUI goes up to 3-4k.

Now on this IVF, there's a promo Thompson's TMC is running which is only RM15k all in, this promo is until end Oct this year only. Which includes consultation, meds, the implantation procedure, nursing fees, storage, ICSI and etc.

As we've just started this IVF with a higher dosage (Puregon 300ui) every single day, though it's only my 3rd cycle day. There's still a few weeks to go before the retrieval and all.

All the best sis.... be optimistic

My opinion, before anyone want to conceive, try to eat healthy (reduce sugar, salt, processed food, fastfood, transfat), light exercise, drink alot of water, take supplements and optimistic mind state. For a few months then only try to conceive, will be much easier.

How does doctor check for PCOS or endometriosis? Do you have any symptoms?

How long did it take you to conceive your babies? Was it longer or shorter than you thought? Was the journey better or worse than you expected?
Please share your experience which could benefits the other TTCians like me.

It was shorter than what we've thought. Me and wife were planning to enjoy the married life without kid for some time since both of us are still young. But my MIL was saying pig year is a good year to have baby. Our first try and it was a success.

Baby is 6 weeks old now

6 years, with endometriosis stage 3, fibroid, obesity and diabetes type 2. Married late (at 34). Tried iui once and nothing happened. Doctor recommended ivf due to advanced age and recurrent endometriosis but the cost is too high for the low success rate (in our opinion) so we decided to let nature takes it course and probably give up at 40.
2 months after hitting 39, I got pregnant naturally (was a very high risk pregnancy due to age and health) but managed to carry the baby as smoothly as I can till 38 weeks and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last August.
I'm just thankful to experience a pregnancy and birthing for the first and last time. Just relax, pray and be cool about it I guess.. 🤔😊

errr.... 1mth? been together for abt 13yrs, then married, then 2yrs after everythg is steady, then baru start trying to conceive (got eat folic 3mths prior to conceive). one hit kena i suppose?

at first thought wont be so fast because the age is there (i'm 33 at the time of conceiving).

so 1mth aft conceive, original plan to donate blood (regular donor) but then need to double confirm no pregnant before donate. so do simple test. hah! jackpot.

now my baby is going to be 2yo soon.
