Me too have left knee problem these past decade and have avoided jogging/running. Pain is noticeably missing when I build leg muscles (as mentioned by Miyakochan), so it confirms does help. But now I’m looking at a new strategy involving barefoot shoes (minimalist shoes). Maybe my knee pains come from wrong type of footwear, so I plan to reset the way I walk or run by changing footwear type.
