QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Mar 8 2019, 09:59 AM) I never feel comfortable swimming at open sea though. Seeing the fishes and weird huge sea animals swim beneath me is very unsettling to me. Condo swimming pool is ok, 25meters is sufficient for butterfly strokes. You need a coach to guide you in open sea swimming.

QUOTE(ChipZ @ Aug 17 2022, 08:55 AM) I'd say if you cant get below 2min/100m (assuming freestyle), you have technique issues and those need to be addressed. No matter how fit you are, if your technique in the water is not correct you're wasting your energy fighting the water I suspect my technique is bad I have been doing lots of drills to keep my body horizontal with core muscles, using more arms propulsion with minimum leg kicks and rotating around my longitudinal axis to breathe. But it's a long way to go.

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Aug 17 2022, 09:45 AM) I am slow to swim 2km at 80 minutes. Good local swimmers swim 2km in less than 25 minutes
