All you need is just a 30 mins HIIT swimming for weight loss. I think most who are swimming in Malaysia just do it during weekends family day - At least that is what I can see in my condo

I do not condemn those who do breaststrokes after doing a full lap on an Olympic size pool just as a temporal rest before resuming into freestyle. But yeah, I have seen some who rests 45 mins after half lap on breast strokes.
