Hi Guys,
Need some opinion of buying a phone from Shopee.
The 256 GB phone offer by this seller is tempting.

US set but not factory unlock base on the information given.
Claiming warranty locally shouldn’t be a problem if it’s a original phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
When it comes to an imported set, claiming warranty is very subjective due to an important clause in Apple’s
Warranty Statement.
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD, APPLE TV AND HOMEPOD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device. Therefore, any warranty claim for imported sets is solely at the discretion of the service providers here, namely Machines, Switch, Mac City, etc. as there is no official Apple Store in Malaysia. That said, there have been cases of some members here that have successfully claimed warranty for their imported sets from US, HK, Australia and Japan. So it’s about whether or not to take that calculated risk on the buyer’s part.
However, when buying a US set, it is imperative that you avoid getting one that is network locked and requires the use of a Turbo SIM.
