That's my hometown.

Not many cainis here, but there are a few kopitiam, e.g. near the pasar.

There is one famous kopitiam called Yut Loy (悦来茶室.) but it sells halal food. It's said that Perak royal famiy buys pau from there.

Kuala Kangsar is Istana Perak home area la..

sure no chnese food over there..
mostly Malay i think..or orang Asli kg

are you blind ? there's a famous kopitiam at the roundabout near the golf club. Double Lion hotel. there are a few others nearby.

one story my dad used to tell me is that during May 13 the Sultan came out and told the rakyat that he didn't want to see any trouble in his town, so nobody made any . Thats how my dad and his family were safe.

And Pahang royalty too. Most of them used to be schooled at that famous boarding school. They loved that Yut Low pau. whistling.gif

I tapau beef balls and pork balls from there last month and brought back to KL smile.gif

Another good choice is dry curry noodle drool.gif
Many kopitiam sells dry curry noodle. You can find some near the pasar.

till i confused its malay or cinis shop
so muhibbah there

too bad i din have much time to xplore that part of town
but i will be back again to look around
