Hey guys,

Lately I've been seeing a lot of sponsored ads/videos of max racing exhaust system. They have everything from air intakes all the way to mufflers. It looks good on paper, it sounds great in videos.

Was wondering if anyone have used or knows anything about max racing exhaust. Anyone willing to share their reviews or feedbacks on max racing exhaust?

Was planning to start saving for it too. just the stage 1 mod (air intake alone) will cost rm480++. stage 3 will go all the way to rm1.5k

Not even sure the power increase is legit. On their ads they even show dyno results, but not sure if the results is real.

anyone using maxracing products, please give us some highlights and testimony?

I got their Axia 1st gen air intake. That time was RM400 as I got it quite early. 3krpm does have increase in torque compare to stock so not bad when needed that boost for 3rd gear level road and 4th gear downhill.

I read somewhere the stock air intake are tune for certain power band. So direct pipe with filter may not get the same result as maxracing or OEM.

Decided not to further upgrade 2nd and 3rd stage as the gain is not as great, the money save I want to upgrade my suspension. Also I don't often drive long distance to recoup the upgrades. If my muffler kaput then I will get maxracing.

so your honest opinion is there's an increase in acceleration after installing maxracing's intake (stage 1) right? is there any other difference you felt besides being slightly more torque-key? like higher top speed or better fuel economy?

Well tbh if you want to see a difference. You probably need to choose a stage 3

No real dyno specs out yet. They only show the chart on their heavy modified vehicle which contain more than just the parts they sell

the air intake and exhaust will not give you more power.
it will consume lesser petrol, makes you think that wow, now i lightfoot also got so much power. but conclusion if you heavy foot your engine still spits out maybe extra 3 to 4 horsepower which in car terms, nothing. cold weather also gives you extra 4 to 5 horsepower, change new engine oil also gives you 2 to 3 horsepower.
Example:
step 30% throttle to maintain 60km/h
after modding
step 20% throttle to maintain 60km/h
but if both case you step 100% throttle from 0-100km/h,will be only 0.2 to 0.3 seconds difference

If you know how to hypermiling, going downhill can easily reach 3krpm with 100kmph.
Can achieve better fuel economy if you have the knowledge. Just adding this air intake would not gain much. cool2.gif

Been using Max Racing Exhaust latest Myvi Intake for 1 week, overall testimony is 200% satisfaction with their stuffs ! 😍 Super Powerful and the results are More than what you ever think of a Myvi can do!

Car responds much faster than stock, just simply hit the fuel pedal and been to 160kmh in just a while~

Before that I had been to lots of workshop to ask them "whether drop in intake is better or open pod? " Everyone are trying to say dropin is better and open pod intake need setting to make it more powerful. Some workshop are also saying they're just making up the advertisement.

But, who care? I believe people who said that might because of red eye or something? 🤭

They people had Dyno graph proven , so many testimonies, videos from users around the world. I just straight order them through their official website 🤣 at least that guarantee me to get the Authentic product?

Saving more money for next stage 3 upgrade soon! Hhhh

The fact that you created this account to reply in this well verse detailed product review and not judging the fact that your user name checks out as well ... just gives me more doubt regarding the product and gains it provide.

Like what Eternalgl0ry bro mentioned, their promo myvi is heavily modded and that also just around 19HP gain for a whooping RM1.8k which we haven't accounted in the ECU remap to properly utilize the changes.

I like to be positive but your reply is just shabby hmm.gif

i agree with you bro. kinda shady for such overrated review. I have heard many engineers say that aftermarket intakes can only provide maximum of 1~3hp boost. 13hp or 17hp of extra power just from replacing the intake is just kinda fairytale to me.
Yes yes, dyno result are given, but its just a sheet of screenshot result. We want real-time dyno results.

I have full set max racing on my myvi. Didn't do dyno though. I guess easier to rev... power wise still difficult to climb steep hills. I think need to install turbo biggrin.gif

actually there is another fix if you need your car to be more revvy. just get a throttle controller aka e-drive. its just a 2 minute plug and play, then you can choose your car to be more responsive or less responsive.

So finally i got an answer indirectly from one of the salesperson.

user posted image

This salesperson posted max racing ad on myvi 2018 fb group, so i asked him if there is any money back guarantee incase their stage 3 product doesn't produce the extra 19hp as they claimed. His answer is " max racing products once used is not refundable". Meaning whether there is any gain or not, what sold is considered not refundable or exchangable.

Those who want to try your luck, go ahead. but honestly i still think that fitting aftermarket intake and exhaust system alone won't give you more than 5hp in a small myvi.

Cheers! any comments please reply below so we can discuss this further. 😄

there's no replacement for displacement, 19whp even STAGE 9999 also hard to achieve

To get significant gain in power for non performance NA cars, the best solution is to tune the ECU. If you change the whole exhaust system, I doubt you can gain so much power, in this case which is a Myvi.

this ^

... but we're talking about real professionals and not amateur ahbeng rempits that display their rice outside of the shop.

We're talking about track racing crew with the proper gear to diagnose and fine tune the ECU and show you the result on a dyno, will it be cheap ... ? heck no, but don't expect gains if you're gonna cut corners.

if it hasn't already been mentioned, a MYVI will always be a MYVI. We're trying to squeeze as much as possible from a 1.5 2NR-VE engine and no matter how much modifications you done to it (which will do more harm than good in the long run) Please don't expect it to run like a sports car, that's when accidents happen on the road.

I drive a MYVI bro.
