Hi any one else experience their baby 5 month old waking up almost every hour and can't go back to sleep unless rocked in the 'sarung'to sleep?
Is this sleep regression?

Used to wake to breastfeed and falls back to sleep. But recently, even after breast feed, baby doesnt fall asleep and will be active. Had to rock to sleep. How can we solve this problem?. Literally begging if anyone could help.
Will this regression get better as baby grows older?  Having severe depression and lack of sleep. Your experiences and advice much appreciated.

But personally my son never experienced what so called sleep regression. There’s will be a phase where they wants to stay awake longer(its part of the development) but make sure they do that around daytime, and not overtired. Otherwise they won’t sleep at night and drives you crazy. But of course each baby has their own phases. If it’s sleep regression, then discipline, patience and sensitive to your baby’s need is the key.

Yes, I agree.
Baby has past thw swaddle period and is now rolling over,  so we stop swaddling now because if we swaddle her, she might not be able to breathe when rolled over.
I saw past threads people suggested the use of sarung hence we tried. Addiction was never in our minds previously. Trying wean her off sarung now.
Thanks for the chart, its like a table of what to expect. Much needed.  Thanks.
Anyone here previously heard of sleep training for babies?  Are they recommended? It involves letting child cry abit. Kinda hard for parents to take it.

I sleep trained my baby since NB. It takes discipline and faith. So many methods. I think the one that you talking about is CIO (Cry It Out). Oh well, I don’t see it would do any harm to try, it might works for you. But before you try CIO, better you prepare the schedule, baby bed/sleeping room, and the clothing well.
