yea but actually hor, it's all Supply v Demand. someone in this thread quoted that there are some scalpers around, and i dare say that those scalpers are lurking within users of this thread, to gauge the demand for TF toys, or TFTM toys. so with more info given out here, more ammo they will have to goreng. pros and cons of detailed info lah i think.

i like the info-sharing bit here, that's why i try to furnish details on where to get Alternators (my fave) so that other collectors (genuine, pure collectors) can get for themselves. no goreng2. luckily, Alts not that many fans here (i think i know so far 4, incl me) so prices also not yet reach skyhigh....

the last release was Nemesis Prime actually in 2006, and Rodimus this year. but it's still the best out there me thinks, didnt get any of the TFTM as was not very impressed with the articulation.

BTs are too expensive, but very very nice and cool. remember seeing one shop in Sg Wang selling 20 pcs for RM4280....i think complete set, but way way too exp for me....

from what i know, Titanium is a remodel of SW, with more metal parts as compared to previous versions. Encore line would be a relaunch of the very first SW, right up to the plastics used. I think Encore line very similar to Commemorative editions, maybe diff in articulation.

BT Smokescreen - RM300+ (actually saw one priced at RM600++!)
BT Sideswipe - RM200+
Alt Smokescreen/Sideswipe - saw Smoke, but NOT FOR SALE! as for Side, RM100+

If you're interested, check out Sg Wang 6th floor, there's one shop (cant remember name) that is selling 20 pcs BTs for RM4280. almost all of the BTs are there, incl Smoke and Side.

As for Alt Rodimus, RRP RM99.90. got mine today as well, chuffed to bits!

Update: TRU Avenue K = restock habis, SW also habis. but they do have the most of the Replicas though...

reserved 1 unit of Alt Smoke? RM140? sounds familiar...bought from a seller in eBay from the US? saw that as well, but thought otherwise later. good deal though, just that i'm not too keen on paying over the odds for it, even though it's already very very rare....but my 2 cents though!

these guys are crazy, jacking up the prices like that! totally unscrupulous dealers, better to boycott them man! even Rodimus also jack up another RM20...can makan dinner puas2 lor!

and the SW.......

i think they mainly get info about the demand from forums such as ours and maybe transmy, and with the current enthusiasm brought about by TFTM, good business to buy loads at RM119 and sell at RM380! more than double man...

but of course, i remember a time when TF toys were mainly 'restricted' to loyal collectors such as ourselves, when toy shops were maybe over run by excess stocks...those were the times! the only thing to do now is, if i may suggest, maybe do some PM-ing esp among those who we really know have been here for quite some time and are real fellow collectors that needs a certain model to complete their collection. i think those are the ones that we need to help by providing reliable and accurate info, and not those scalpers who are really making a profit out of it...

again, my 2 cents...
