They already paid the notice in lieu to you, and terminate your employment earlier. FYI, I was one of the retrenched employee due to company downsizing exercise. For notice in lieu, the disadvantage is "no EPF payment"; the advantage is "you can join other company faster. BTW, you can apply the EIS now. But the amount is very small which is RM600 each month, and it is for three months only...

Wow...I have received the EIS compensation.
Anyone can enlighten me about calculation of EIS compensation? I thought I will only receive RM600 per month, but looks like more than the amount (RM1K-RM2K extra). Well, I already drop an email to the SOCSO officer at the same time. |
