UNIFI cuti sekolah throttling inkambingggg

Reminds me of the dark era of Streamyx throttling to overseas connections back in 2009/2010 lol.

Have to perform torrent test to ensure if everything kena or not.

EDIT:- Torrents working at top speed, so this is a regional issue only thankfully

Too bad I cannot reduce one UniFi TV and pay only RM 99 for 500Mbps. cry.gif
*
RM 99 for 500 Mbps is seriously scamming TM level lol.

If more people knew what you currently have and complained, they would revert your package price so best be happy with you have boss.

Most of us plebs can only get RM 129/100Mbps at best.

This could just be an anecdotal observation but do you guys notice that its harder to reach full upload speed while seeding your torrents nowadays?

Maxing the download speed is fine but I can only reach 4-5 MB/s for my uploads when it use to hit 6-7 MB/s easily in the past. This occurs no matter how many peers I get connected to.

Interested to see the upload stats on those of you with higher end accounts while torrenting.

Feels like TM is further capping upload speeds to international peers ever since they rolled out their new turbo upgrade plans to prevent congestion on their network pathways lol

Proof can be seen from Speedtest.net results to overseas test servers; try conducting tests to servers out of Asia and see on how many of them you can fully max out your upload speeds.

E.g. This is a recent one I did to the Perth Telstra Server:-

Ping and Download Speed is spectacular and within normal parameters but the upload is only half of the possible 50Mbps.

My signature features an older result which maxes out the upload speed.

It's maxing out my 200Mbps upload speed.

Ah, thanks for your feedback mate. So its still possible with torrents with loads and loads of leeching peers I guess.

Just did a test to Telstra, Perth. I'm unifi 800. Unable to reach full upload speed.

That upload speed result for Perth is very very interesting, it seems like they're limiting uploads to outgoing international connections to around half your maximum upload speed, not a hardcapped speed.

Thanks again for your effort man!

It maybe the TM link to the perth side have limit, not every link between isp are unlimited, all depending on the peering agreement.
*
But my point still stands.. the upload limit is based on your individual package and not a hard limit, since if it was reliant on a hard limit, i would be able to get the full 50mbps upload to perth instead of just 25mbps.

Other peoples results also show this halving of upload speed from their theoretical maximum.

You can just go to this link (http://202.188.95.247/iemt/php/radius/radius_client.php) to see whats the current package. Must connected to streamyx/unifi to get it loaded.

Unifi service truly sucks and I regretted renewing my contract for another 2 years to upgrade my line to 30M!

I WANT to SWITCH out of this miserable ISP ASAP!

Your local ping to Webe is really high, even using WIFI you shouldn't be getting more than 10ms ping to any local server in KL. Are you on fiber (FTTH) or high speed copper (VDSL2)?

New TM Unifi ONU fibre modem? It's not the Huawei anymore...

FiberHome brand... I never hear before. As what I know, even Maxis Fibre and TIME Fibre don't supply this fibre modem brand to its customers...  hmm.gif
That's quite a common TM supplied FTTH modem, I have the exact same model for my landed 100M/50M subscription.

i know expressvpn is faster but bandwidth limit by tm i think so
local speedtest i always getting 103mbps like tm speedtest i getting full speed and speedtest.net i choose telekom malaysia local i always get full speed

i said why i getting 18mnps because its USA server for speedtest.net i choose USA Server i getting low

i think tm bandwidth limit
so 800mbps i will get 200+mbps because someone also using 800mbps a lot someone told they getting 200mbps+

my friend also 800mbps i tested speedtest.net usa server seen 200mbps+ great

i hope 800mbps launch i will upgrade then i will test usa server let to see how is speed
if i getting 200mbps+ then i will be more happy

i am sure wont lower let to seee
*
This is true, they allocate more international bandwidth for higher speed package subscribers which makes perfect sense.

I don't think there is any cap/allocation/priority done by TM for international BW for different consumer package.
