this num called me claimed from maxis asking what unifi plan did i use, how much i pay, etc. i just said "saya tak tahu la nama je saya, abang yang bayar bulan2 saya tahu pakai je" then just bye and hang up lol.

anyone having trouble with netflix on unifi?

i can browse around searching for movies and stuff but i can't play any of em. samething on my phone netflix app. after i disable my unifi and use my data i can finally play the movies.

Quick Question:

My area finally going to have Unifi, and I plan on getting the 100Mbps package (RM129). As a new Unifi subscriber (coming from 8Mbps Screamyx) wil I be eligible for turbo speed upgrade?

Sorry for the silly question, haven't been following Unifi news and updates for so long since I had given up hope that my area will eventually get fibre.

Very sad with unifi 100Mbps contract penalty. Still got 18 months contract had to pay penalty if terminate even the owner had passed away recently. So the relatives had to continue paying for the unused service or kena penalty if terminate. The only option left is to find someone to continue the contract by change of ownership.

TM don't have any sense of compassionate at all. Makan kaw kaw. 

Hi all, I have been reading on mesh wifi but still confuse. When I buy a mesh wifi set (with 2 or 3 units), do I need to connect these to my TM router? Or do 1 of the unit become a new router, and I can throw away my TM router?

Just thinking is Access Point mode slower or less reliable than Router mode? Because in Access Point mode, the router used is still the crap TM one. Only good thing is can use multiple lan ports for hypptv, pc, etc

Wow at the speed for the deco units. But why is main router speed (2nd line from top) much slower? Unless I am looking at the wrong line heheh

Also thinking if possible to use a cheap swicth to add more lan ports to the main mesh unit? Cheap switch

I just downgrade my plan from RM 189 ( 500mbps ) to RM 159 ( 100mbps ) because wanna have ultimate pack unifi tv and old plan already end contract. Speed downgrade doesnt matter for me because only me and wife use it.

My old plan 30mbps ( upgraded to 500mbps ) at RM 189 but the speed test never reach 60mbps download. That's why decided to change plan and renew contract for another 24 months because not thinking to switch other brand.

Hi guys, my modem just went kaput i think. No lights from it, but it's heating up as if it's on. So, i made a report to 100. Said that the modem warranty is lifetime, but they need to charge rm53 for technician to come.

Call me crazy, but if it's a lifetime warranty, then why do i need to be charged to get a replacement? Can't i do that myself at any tmpoint service centers or something?

Okey, so i called them back just now. Now, another one of their support person told me that it kinds of depends on the technician's evaluation during the visit later on. And i quote, "kalau technician tu rasa yang masalah berpunca dari tm, takde kena cas, tapi.kalau dia rasa datang dari pengguna, kena charge".

I'd like to think this is the more amicable solution, instead of just charging me rm53 for a visit, which is bullcrap to be frank. What do you mean by "rebind" by the way?

Tmnet technician normally cheat when do speed test.. They asked their network guy to up the speed while ahowing the speed test

i did ask about this, my installer said, all new fiber installation direct use fiber drop cable from pole to modem.
the old type installation with the FWS seems getting some problem after some times.. getting higher 'noise' signal quality. 

So i had tried 2 way to connect output lan rj45 cable from tplink Archer C1200.

tplink Archer C1200 LAN port----cat5 2 meters lan cable----dlink 4-port switch----generic white color 15 meters lan cable---desktop pc.
tplink Archer C1200 LAN port----cat5 2 meters lan cable----dlink 4-port switch----3.3 meters lan cable----desktop pc.

Im signup 30M unifi package.tm speed test site show download=34M  ,  upload=10M  when used wifi pci card. dlink 4-port switch used because 15 meters lan cable fixed and tie on the wall was not long enough connect to  tplink Archer C1200 lan port.

Here are the result:

First connect way---download speed=10M  ,  upload speed=10M  .

Second connect way---download speed=33.5M , upload speed =10M  .

The culprit was the generic white color 15 meters lan cable caused download speed drop to 10M....lost 24M download speed.Found only 4 small core wires inside the lan port head.Others lan cable got 8 small core wires inside the lan port head.

I need 17 meters length lan cable. I want cat.6 cable.
My question is....if i buy quality 20 meters cat.6 lan cable , will it cause download speed drop again ?

From my TM member, the good news is these DECO M4 can be used as router or as repeater
The bad news is it does not have VLAN tagging. Thus, you need to let go HyppTV STB if you set is as router.
